1  I¹⁴⁷³ therefore,³⁷⁶⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ prisoner¹¹⁹⁸ of¹⁷²² the Lord,²⁹⁶² beseech³⁸⁷⁰ you⁵²⁰⁹ that ye walk⁴⁰⁴³ worthy⁵¹⁶ of the³⁵⁸⁸ vocation²⁸²¹ wherewith³⁷³⁹ ye are called,²⁵⁶⁴

1  그러므로 주(the LordG2962) 안에서 갇힌 내가 너희를 권하노니 너희가 부르심을 입은 부름에 합당하게 행하여

1  I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the calling with which you are called,

1   그러므로 주(야훼)의 죄수 된 내가 너희에게 권고하노니, 너희가 부르심을 받은 그 부르심에 합당하게 행하되,

2  With³³²⁶ all³⁹⁵⁶ lowliness⁵⁰¹² and²⁵³² meekness,⁴²³⁶ with³³²⁶ longsuffering,³¹¹⁵ forbearing⁴³⁰ one another²⁴⁰ in¹⁷²² love;²⁶

2  모든 겸손과 온유로 하고 오래 참음으로 사랑 가운데서 서로 용납하고

2  with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love,

2   모든 겸손과 온유와 오래 참음과 사랑 가운데서 서로 용납하고

3  Endeavoring⁴⁷⁰⁴ to keep⁵⁰⁸³ the³⁵⁸⁸ unity¹⁷⁷⁵ of the³⁵⁸⁸ Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ bond⁴⁸⁸⁶ of peace.¹⁵¹⁵

3  평안의 매는 줄로 성령의 하나되게 하신 것을 힘써 지키라

3  endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

3  화평의 띠 안에서 성령의 하나됨을 지키도록 열심히 노력하라.

4  There is one¹⁵²⁰ body,⁴⁹⁸³ and²⁵³² one¹⁵²⁰ Spirit,⁴¹⁵¹ even as²⁵³¹ ye are called²⁵⁶⁴ in¹⁷²² one³³⁹¹ hope¹⁶⁸⁰ of your⁵²¹⁶ calling;²⁸²¹

4  몸이 하나이요 성령이G4151 하나이니 이와 같이 너희가 부르심의 한 소망 안에서 부르심을 입었느니라

4  There is one body and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling,

4  너희가 너희를 부르시는 한 소망 안으로 부르심을 받은 것처럼 한 몸과 한 분 성령이 계시니

5  One¹⁵²⁰ Lord,²⁹⁶² one³³⁹¹ faith,⁴¹⁰² one¹⁵²⁰ baptism,⁹⁰⁸

5  주도G2962 하나이요 믿음도 하나이요 세례도 하나이요

5  one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

5   한 분 주(아도나이H136)요, 한 믿음이며, 한 침례이고

6  One¹⁵²⁰ God²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² Father³⁹⁶² of all,³⁹⁵⁶ who³⁵⁸⁸ is above¹⁹⁰⁹ all,³⁹⁵⁶ and²⁵³² through¹²²³ all,³⁹⁵⁶ and²⁵³² in¹⁷²² you⁵²¹³ all.³⁹⁵⁶

6  하나님도G2316 하니이시니 곧 만유의 아버지시라 만유 위에 계시고 만유를 통일하시고 만유 가운데 계시도다

6  one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in you all.

6  한 분 하나님(엘로힘), 곧 모든 것의 아버지시니, 그 분은 모든 것 위에 계시며 모든 것을 통하여 너희 모두 안에 계시느니라.

7  But¹¹⁶¹ unto every¹⁵³⁸ one¹⁵²⁰ of us²²⁵⁷ is given¹³²⁵ grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ according²⁵⁹⁶ to the³⁵⁸⁸ measure³³⁵⁸ of the³⁵⁸⁸ gift¹⁴³¹ of Christ.⁵⁵⁴⁷

7  우리 각 사람에게 그리스도의G5547 선물의 분량대로 은혜를 주셨나니

7  But to every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

7  그러나 우리 각자에게 그리스도(마쉬악H4899)의 은사의 분량대로 은혜를 주셨으니

8  Wherefore¹³⁵² he saith,³⁰⁰⁴ When he ascended up³⁰⁵ on¹⁵¹⁹ high,⁵³¹¹ he led captivity captive,^{162, 161} and²⁵³² gave¹³²⁵ gifts¹³⁹⁰ unto men.⁴⁴⁴

8  그러므로 이르기를 그가 위로 올라가실 때에 사로잡힌 자를 사로잡고 사람들에게 선물을 주셨다 하였도다

8  Therefore He says, "When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive and gave gifts to men."

8    그러므로 말씀하시기를 "그가 위로 올라가실 때에 사로잡힌 자를 사로잡아 갔고 사람들에게는 은사들을 주셨다."고 하셨느니라.

9  (Now¹¹⁶¹ that³⁵⁸⁸ he ascended,³⁰⁵ what⁵¹⁰¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ it but¹⁵⁰⁸ that³⁷⁵⁴ he also²⁵³² descended²⁵⁹⁷ first⁴⁴¹² into¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ lower²⁷³⁷ parts³³¹³ of the³⁵⁸⁸ earth?¹⁰⁹³

9  올라가셨다 하였은즉 땅 아랫 곳으로 내리셨던 것이 아니면 무엇이냐

9  (Now that He ascended, what is it but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

9  (따라서 그가 올라가셨다는 것은 그가 땅의 더 낮은 부분들로 먼저 내려가셨다는 것이 아니고 무엇이냐?

10  He that descended²⁵⁹⁷ is²⁰⁷⁶ the same⁸⁴⁶ also²⁵³² that ascended up³⁰⁵ far above⁵²³¹ all³⁹⁵⁶ heavens,³⁷⁷² that²⁴⁴³ he might fill⁴¹³⁷ all things.)³⁹⁵⁶

10  내리셨던 그가 곧 모든 하늘 위에 오르신 자니 이는 만물을 충만케 하려 하심이니라

10  He who descended is the same also as He who ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things.)

10  내려가셨던 그가 모든 하늘들 위로 올라가신 바로 그 분이니 그가 모든 것을 충만케 하시려 함이니라.)

11  And²⁵³² he⁸⁴⁶ gave¹³²⁵ some,^{3588, 3303} apostles;⁶⁵² and¹¹⁶¹ some,³⁵⁸⁸ prophets;⁴³⁹⁶ and¹¹⁶¹ some,³⁵⁸⁸ evangelists;²⁰⁹⁹ and¹¹⁶¹ some,³⁵⁸⁸ pastors⁴¹⁶⁶ and²⁵³² teachers;¹³²⁰

11  "그가 혹은 사도로, 혹은 선지자로, 혹은 복음 전하는 자로, 혹은 목사와 교사로 주셨으니"

11  And truly He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

11  그가 어떤 사람들은 사도로, 어떤 사람들은 선지자로, 어떤 사람들은 복음 전도자로, 어떤 사람들은 목자와 교사로 주셨으니

12  For⁴³¹⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ perfecting²⁶⁷⁷ of the³⁵⁸⁸ saints,⁴⁰ for¹⁵¹⁹ the work²⁰⁴¹ of the ministry,¹²⁴⁸ for¹⁵¹⁹ the edifying³⁶¹⁹ of the³⁵⁸⁸ body⁴⁹⁸³ of Christ:⁵⁵⁴⁷

12  이는 성도를 온전케 하며 봉사의 일을 하게 하며 그리스도의G5547 몸을 세우려 하심이라

12  for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

12 이는 성도들을 온전케 하며 섬기는 일을 하게 하고 그리스도(마쉬악)의 몸을 세우게 하여

13  Till³³⁶⁰ we all³⁹⁵⁶ come²⁶⁵⁸ in¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ unity¹⁷⁷⁵ of the³⁵⁸⁸ faith,⁴¹⁰² and²⁵³² of the³⁵⁸⁸ knowledge¹⁹²² of the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God,²³¹⁶ unto¹⁵¹⁹ a perfect⁵⁰⁴⁶ man,⁴³⁵ unto¹⁵¹⁹ the measure³³⁵⁸ of the stature²²⁴⁴ of the³⁵⁸⁸ fullness⁴¹³⁸ of Christ:⁵⁵⁴⁷

13  우리가 다 하나님의G2316 아들을 믿는 것과 아는 일에 하나가 되어 온전한 사람을 이루어 그리스도의G5547 장성한 분량이 충만한데까지 이르리니

13  And this until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

13 우리 모두가 믿음의 하나됨과 하나님(엘로힘)의 아들을 아는 지식의 하나됨에 도달하게 하고, 온전한 사람이 되어 그리스도(마쉬악)의 충만하심의 장성한 분량에까지 이르게 하려 하심이라.

14  That²⁴⁴³ we henceforth be⁵⁶⁰⁰ no more³³⁷¹ children,³⁵¹⁶ tossed to and fro,²⁸³¹ and²⁵³² carried about⁴⁰⁶⁴ with every³⁹⁵⁶ wind⁴¹⁷ of doctrine,¹³¹⁹ by¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ sleight²⁹⁴⁰ of men,⁴⁴⁴ and⁽¹⁷²²⁾ cunning craftiness,³⁸³⁴ whereby⁴³¹⁴ they lie in wait to deceive;^{3180, 4106}

14  이는 우리가 이제부터 어린 아이가 되지 아니하여 사람의 궤술과 간사한 유혹에 빠져 모든 교훈의 풍조에 밀려 요동치 않게 하려 함이라

14  so that we no longer may be infants, tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine, in the dishonesty of men, in cunning craftiness, to the wiles of deceit.

14  이는 우리가 이제부터는 더 이상 어린 아이가 아니니 사람들의 속임수와 교활한 술책으로 그들이 속이려고 숨어서 기다리는 온갖 교리의 풍조에 밀려 이리저리 다니지 아니하고,

15  But¹¹⁶¹ speaking the truth²²⁶ in¹⁷²² love,²⁶ may grow up⁸³⁷ into¹⁵¹⁹ him⁸⁴⁶ in all things,³⁹⁵⁶ which³⁷³⁹ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ head,²⁷⁷⁶ even Christ:⁵⁵⁴⁷

15  오직 사랑 안에서 참된 것을 하여 범사에 그에게까지 자랄지라 그는 머리니 곧 그리스도G5547라

15  But that you, speaking the truth in love, may in all things grow up to Him who is the Head, even Christ;

15  오직 사랑 안에서 진리를 말하며 우리가 모든 일에 성장하여 그에게 이르리니 그는 머리시며 곧 그리스도(마쉬악이)시니라.

16  From¹⁵³⁷ whom³⁷³⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ whole³⁹⁵⁶ body⁴⁹⁸³ fitly joined together⁴⁸⁸³ and²⁵³² compacted⁴⁸²² by¹²²³ that which every³⁹⁵⁶ joint⁸⁶⁰ supplieth,²⁰²⁴ according²⁵⁹⁶ to the effectual working¹⁷⁵³ in¹⁷²² the measure³³⁵⁸ of every^{1538, 1520} part,³³¹³ maketh⁴¹⁶⁰ increase⁸³⁸ of the³⁵⁸⁸ body⁴⁹⁸³ unto¹⁵¹⁹ the edifying³⁶¹⁹ of itself¹⁴³⁸ in¹⁷²² love.²⁶

16  그에게서 온 몸이 각 마디를 통하여 도움을 입음으로 연락하고 상합하여 각 지체의 분량대로 역사하여 그 몸을 자라게 하며 사랑 안에서 스스로 세우느니라

16  from whom the whole body, fitted together and compacted by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of each part, producing the growth of the body to the edifying of itself in love.

16  그로부터 온 몸이 각 부분의 분량 안에서의 효과적인 역사를 따라 각 마디를 통하여 공급을 받아 알맞게 결합되고 체격이 형성되어, 몸을 성장시키며, 사랑 안에서 몸 자체를 세워 나가느니라.

17  This⁵¹²⁴ I say³⁰⁰⁴ therefore,³⁷⁶⁷ and²⁵³² testify³¹⁴³ in¹⁷²² the Lord,²⁹⁶² that ye⁵²⁰⁹ henceforth walk not^{3371, 4043} as^{2531 (2532)} other³⁰⁶² Gentiles¹⁴⁸⁴ walk,⁴⁰⁴³ in¹⁷²² the vanity³¹⁵³ of their⁸⁴⁸ mind,³⁵⁶³

17  그러므로 내가 이것을 말하며 주G2962 안에서 증거하노니 이제부터는 이방인이 그 마음의 허망한 것으로 행함 같이 너희는 행하지 말라

17  This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should not walk from now on as other nations walk, in the vanity of their mind,

17 그러므로 내가 이것을 말하고 주(야훼) 안에서 증거하노니 너희는 더 이상 다른 이방인들처럼 허망한 마음으로 행하지 말라.

18  Having the³⁵⁸⁸ understanding¹²⁷¹ darkened,⁴⁶⁵⁴ being⁵⁶⁰⁷ alienated⁵²⁶ from the³⁵⁸⁸ life²²²² of God²³¹⁶ through¹²²³ the³⁵⁸⁸ ignorance⁵² that is⁵⁶⁰⁷ in¹⁷²² them,⁸⁴⁶ because¹²²³ of the³⁵⁸⁸ blindness⁴⁴⁵⁷ of their⁸⁴⁶ heart:²⁵⁸⁸

18  저희 총명이 어두워지고 저희 가운데 있는 무지함과 저희 마음이 굳어짐으로 말미암아 하나님의G2316 생명에서 떠나 있도다

18  having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.

18  그들 마음의 완고함 때문에 그들 안에 있는 무지를 통하여 하나님(엘로힘)의 생명에서 멀리 떨어졌고 그들의 명철은 어두워졌으며

19  Who³⁷⁴⁸ being past feeling⁵²⁴ have given themselves over^{3860, 1438} unto lasciviousness,⁷⁶⁶ to¹⁵¹⁹ work²⁰³⁹ all³⁹⁵⁶ uncleanness¹⁶⁷ with¹⁷²² greediness.⁴¹²⁴

19  저희가 감각 없는 자 되어 자신을 방탕에 방임하여 모든 더러운 것을 욕심으로 행하되

19  For they, being past feeling, have given themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

19  모든 감각을 상실하여 자신을 방탕에 내어주어 욕심으로 모든 불결한 것을 행하느니라.

20  But¹¹⁶¹ ye⁵²¹⁰ have not³⁷⁵⁶ so³⁷⁷⁹ learned³¹²⁹ Christ;⁵⁵⁴⁷

20  오직 너희는 그리스도를G5547 이같이 배우지 아니하였느니라

20  But you have not so learned Christ,

20  그러나 너희는 그리스도(마쉬악을)를 그렇게 배우지 아니하였느니라.

21  If so be¹⁴⁸⁹ that ye have heard¹⁹¹ him,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² have been taught¹³²¹ by¹⁷²² him,⁸⁴⁶ as²⁵³¹ the truth²²⁵ is²⁰⁷⁶ in¹⁷²² Jesus:²⁴²⁴

21  진리가 예수G2424 안에 있는 것 같이 너희가 과연 그에게서 듣고 또한 그 안에서 가르침을 받았을 진대

21  if indeed you have heard Him and were taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus.

21 진리가 예수(야슈아) 안에 있는 바와 같이 과연 너희가 그에게서 듣고 또 그에 의해 배웠을진대

22  That ye⁵²⁰⁹ put off⁶⁵⁹ concerning²⁵⁹⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ former⁴³⁸⁷ conversation³⁹¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ old³⁸²⁰ man,⁴⁴⁴ which is corrupt⁵³⁵¹ according²⁵⁹⁶ to the³⁵⁸⁸ deceitful⁵³⁹ lusts;¹⁹³⁹

22  너희는 유혹의 욕심을 따라 썩어져 가는 구습을 좇는 옛 사람을 벗어 버리고

22  For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

22   이전 행실에 관해서는 기만의 욕망에 따라 썩어진 옛 사람을 벗어 버리고

23  And¹¹⁶¹ be renewed³⁶⁵ in the³⁵⁸⁸ spirit⁴¹⁵¹ of your⁵²¹⁶ mind;³⁵⁶³

23  오직 심령으로 새롭게 되어

23  and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.

23  너희 생각의 영 안에서 새롭게 되어

24  And²⁵³² that ye put on¹⁷⁴⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ new²⁵³⁷ man,⁴⁴⁴ which after²⁵⁹⁶ God²³¹⁶ is created²⁹³⁶ in¹⁷²² righteousness¹³⁴³ and²⁵³² true²²⁵ holiness.³⁷⁴²

24  하나님을G2316 따라 의와 진리의 거룩함으로 지으심을 받은 새 사람을 입으라

24  And you should put on the new man, who according to God was created in righteousness and true holiness.

24  하나님(야훼를)을 따라 의와 참된 거룩함 안에서 창조된 새 사람을 입으라.

25  Wherefore¹³⁵² putting away⁶⁵⁹ lying,⁵⁵⁷⁹ speak²⁹⁸⁰ every man¹⁵³⁸ truth²²⁵ with³³²⁶ his⁸⁴⁸ neighbor:⁴¹³⁹ for³⁷⁵⁴ we are²⁰⁷⁰ members³¹⁹⁶ one of another.²⁴⁰

25  그런즉 거짓을 버리고 각각 그 이웃으로 더불어 참된 것을 말하라 이는 우리가 서로 지체가 됨이니라

25  Therefore putting away lying, let each man speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

25  그러므로 거짓을 버리고 각자 자기의 이웃과 더불어 진리를 말하라. 이는 우리가 서로 지체이기 때문이라.

26  Be ye angry,³⁷¹⁰ and²⁵³² sin²⁶⁴ not: let³³⁶¹ not³³⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ sun²²⁴⁶ go down¹⁹³¹ upon¹⁹⁰⁹ your⁵²¹⁶ wrath:³⁹⁵⁰

26  분을 내어도 죄를 짓지 말며 해가 지도록 분을 품지 말고

26  Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down upon your wrath,

26  화를 내되 죄는 짓지 말고 해가 지도록 분노를 품지 말며

27  Neither³³⁸³ give¹³²⁵ place⁵¹¹⁷ to the³⁵⁸⁸ devil.¹²²⁸

27  마귀로 틈을 타지 못하게 하라

27  neither give place to the Devil.

27   마귀에게 틈을 주지 말라.

28  Let him that stole²⁸¹³ steal²⁸¹³ no more:³³⁷¹ but¹¹⁶¹ rather³¹²³ let him labor,²⁸⁷² working²⁰³⁸ with his hands⁵⁴⁹⁵ the thing which is good,¹⁸ that²⁴⁴³ he may have²¹⁹² to give³³³⁰ to him that needeth.^{2192, 5532}

28  도적질하는 자는 다시 도적질하지 말고 돌이켜 빈궁한 자에게 구제할 것이 있기 위하여 제 손으로 수고하여 선한 일을 하라

28  Let him who stole steal no more, but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, so that he may have something to give to him who needs.

28   도둑질하는 자는 더 이상 도둑질하지 못하게 하고 오히려 일하게 하라. 그가 손수 선한 일을 하여 궁핍한 자를 구제할 수 있게 하라.

29  Let no^{3361, (3956)} corrupt⁴⁵⁵⁰ communication³⁰⁵⁶ proceed¹⁶⁰⁷ out of¹⁵³⁷ your⁵²¹⁶ mouth,⁴⁷⁵⁰ but²³⁵ that¹⁵³⁶ which is good¹⁸ to⁴³¹⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ use⁵⁵³² of edifying,³⁶¹⁹ that²⁴⁴³ it may minister¹³²⁵ grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ unto the³⁵⁸⁸ hearers.¹⁹¹

29  무릇 더러운 말은 너희 입밖에도 내지 말고 오직 덕을 세우는데 소용되는대로 선한 말을 하여 듣는 자들에게 은혜를 끼치게 하라

29  Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect of need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.

29   너희 입에서 어떠한 더러운 말도 나오지 아니하게 하고 오직 서로를 세우는 데 필요한 좋은 것만을 말하여 듣는 자들에게 은혜를 끼치게 하라.

30  And²⁵³² grieve³⁰⁷⁶ not³³⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Holy⁴⁰ Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ of God,²³¹⁶ whereby^{1722, 3739} ye are sealed⁴⁹⁷² unto¹⁵¹⁹ the day²²⁵⁰ of redemption.⁶²⁹

30  하나님의G2316 성령을 근심하게 하지 말라 그 안에서 너희가 구속의 날까지 인치심을 받았느니라

30  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed until the day of redemption.

30  하나님(엘로힘)의 거룩한 영을 슬프게 하지 말라. 너희가 그로 인해 구속의 날까지 인치심을 받았느니라.

31  Let all³⁹⁵⁶ bitterness,⁴⁰⁸⁸ and²⁵³² wrath,²³⁷² and²⁵³² anger,³⁷⁰⁹ and²⁵³² clamor,²⁹⁰⁶ and²⁵³² evil speaking,⁹⁸⁸ be put away¹⁴² from⁵⁷⁵ you,⁵²¹⁶ with⁴⁸⁶² all³⁹⁵⁶ malice:²⁵⁴⁹

31  너희는 모든 악독과 노함과 분냄과 떠드는 것과 훼방하는 것을 모든 악의와 함께 버리고

31  Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and tumult and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

31  모든 신랄함과 분개와 분노와 고함지르는 것과 욕설을 모든 악의와 함께 너희로부터 버리라.

32  And¹¹⁶¹ be¹⁰⁹⁶ ye kind⁵⁵⁴³ one to another,^{240, 1519} tenderhearted,²¹⁵⁵ forgiving⁵⁴⁸³ one another,¹⁴³⁸ even²⁵³² as²⁵³¹ God²³¹⁶ for Christ's sake^{1722, 5547} hath forgiven⁵⁴⁸³ you.⁵²¹³

32  서로 인자하게 하며 불쌍히 여기며 서로 용서하기를 하나님이G2316 그리스도G5547 안에서 너희를 용서하심과 같이 하라

32  And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

32  너희는 서로 친절하고 다정다감하며 서로 용서하되 하나님(엘로힘)께서 그리스도(마쉬악을)를 위하여 너희를 용서하신 것같이 하라.
