1  But¹¹⁶¹ speak²⁹⁸⁰ thou⁴⁷⁷¹ the things which³⁷³⁹ become⁴²⁴¹ sound⁵¹⁹⁸ doctrine:¹³¹⁹

1  오직 너는 바른 교훈에 합한 것을 말하여

1  But you speak the things which become sound doctrine:

1  그러나 너는 건전한 교리에 부합되는 것들을 말하되

2  That the aged men⁴²⁴⁶ be¹⁵¹¹ sober,³⁵²⁴ grave,⁴⁵⁸⁶ temperate,⁴⁹⁹⁸ sound⁵¹⁹⁸ in faith,⁴¹⁰² in charity,²⁶ in patience.⁵²⁸¹

2  늙은 남자로는 절제하며 경건하며 근신하며 믿음과 사랑과 인내함에 온전케 하고

2  aged men to be temperate, sensible, discreet, sound in faith, in love, in patience.

2   나이 많은 남자들은 신중하고 근엄하며, 절제하고 믿음과 사랑과 인내함에 건전하여야 하느니라.

3  The aged women⁴²⁴⁷ likewise,⁵⁶¹⁵ that they be in¹⁷²² behavior²⁶⁸⁸ as becometh holiness,²⁴¹² not³³⁶¹ false accusers,¹²²⁸ not³³⁶¹ given¹⁴⁰² to much⁴¹⁸³ wine,³⁶³¹ teachers of good things;²⁵⁶⁷

3  늙은 여자로는 이와 같이 행실이 거룩하며 참소치 말며 많은 술의 종이 되지 말며 선한 것을 가르치는 자들이 되고

3  Let the aged women likewise be in reverent behavior, not slanderers, not enslaved by much wine, teachers of good;

3  이와 같이 나이 많은 여자들도 행실이 거룩하고 모함하지 아니하며, 술에 인박이지 아니하고, 선한 것들을 가르치는 선생이 되어,

4  That²⁴⁴³ they may teach the young women to be sober,^{4994, 3588, 3501} to⁽¹⁵¹¹⁾ love their husbands,⁵³⁶² to love their children,⁵³⁸⁸

4  저들로 젊은 여자들을 교훈하되 그 남편과 자녀를 사랑하며

4  that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

4  젊은 여자들을 가르쳐서 절제하고 남편을 사랑하며 자녀들을 사랑하고,

5  To be discreet,⁴⁹⁹⁸ chaste,⁵³ keepers at home,³⁶²⁶ good,¹⁸ obedient⁵²⁹³ to their own²³⁹⁸ husbands,⁴³⁵ that²⁴⁴³ the³⁵⁸⁸ word³⁰⁵⁶ of God²³¹⁶ be not³³⁶¹ blasphemed.⁹⁸⁷

5  근신하며 순전하며 집안 일을 하며 선하며 자기 남편에게 복종하게 하라 이는 하나님의G2316 말씀이 훼방을 받지 않게 하려 함이니라

5  to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, subject to their own husbands, that the Word of God may not be blasphemed.

5  신중하며, 정숙하고 집안 일에 힘쓰며, 선하고 그들 자신의 남편에게 복종하게 하여 하나님(엘로힘)의 말씀이 모독을 받지 않도록 하라.

6  Young men³⁵⁰¹ likewise⁵⁶¹⁵ exhort³⁸⁷⁰ to be sober minded.⁴⁹⁹³

6  너는 이와 같이 젊은 남자들을 권면하여 근신하게 하되

6  Likewise exhort the young men to be discreet;

6  이와 같이 젊은 남자들에게도 신중하게 행동하도록 권하되

7  In⁴⁰¹² all things³⁹⁵⁶ showing³⁹³⁰ thyself⁴⁵⁷² a pattern⁵¹⁷⁹ of good²⁵⁷⁰ works:²⁰⁴¹ in¹⁷²² doctrine¹³¹⁹ showing uncorruptness,⁹⁰ gravity,⁴⁵⁸⁷ sincerity,⁸⁶¹

7  범사에 네 자신으로 선한 일의 본을 보여 교훈의 부패치 아니함과 경건함과

7  In all things having shown yourself a pattern of good works: in the doctrine, purity, sensibleness, without corruption,

7   매사에 네 스스로가 선한 일에 본을 보이고 교리에 있어서는 부패치 않음과 신중함과 진실함을 보이며

8  Sound⁵¹⁹⁹ speech,³⁰⁵⁶ that cannot be condemned;¹⁷⁶ that²⁴⁴³ he³⁵⁸⁸ that is of¹⁵³⁷ the contrary part¹⁷²⁷ may be ashamed,¹⁷⁸⁸ having²¹⁹² no³³⁶⁷ evil thing⁵³³⁷ to say³⁰⁰⁴ of⁴⁰¹² you.⁵²¹⁶

8  책망할 것이 없는 바른 말을 하게 하라 이는 대적하는 자로 하여금 부끄러워 우리를 악하다 할 것이 없게 하려 함이라

8  in sound speech that cannot be condemned, that he who is opposed may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

8    건전한 말을 하여 정죄받지 않도록 하라. 이는 대적하는 자로 부끄러움을 당하여 너희를 악하다고 말하지 못하게 하려 함이니라.

9  Exhort servants¹⁴⁰¹ to be obedient⁵²⁹³ unto their own²³⁹⁸ masters,¹²⁰³ and⁽¹⁵¹¹⁾ to please them well²¹⁰¹ in¹⁷²² all³⁹⁵⁶ things; not³³⁶¹ answering again;⁴⁸³

9  종들로는 자기 상전들에게 범사에 순종하여 기쁘게 하고 거스려 말하지 말며

9  Slaves are to be obedient to their masters, to please them well in all things, not talking against,

9  종들에게는 권하되 자기 주인에게 복종하고 매사에 그들을 기쁘게 하며, 거슬러 말하지 말고

10  Not³³⁶¹ purloining,³⁵⁵⁷ but²³⁵ showing¹⁷³¹ all³⁹⁵⁶ good¹⁸ fidelity;⁴¹⁰² that²⁴⁴³ they may adorn²⁸⁸⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ doctrine¹³¹⁹ of God²³¹⁶ our²²⁵⁷ Savior⁴⁹⁹⁰ in¹⁷²² all things.³⁹⁵⁶

10  떼어 먹지 말고 오직 선한 충성을 다하게 하라 이는 범사에 우리 구주 하나님의G2316 교훈을 빛나게 하려 함이라

10  not stealing, but showing all good faith, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

10    착복하지 말며, 온전히 선한 충성을 보이게 하라. 이는 그들이 매사에 우리 구주 하나님(야훼)의 교리를 돋보이게 하려 함이니라.

11  For¹⁰⁶³ the³⁵⁸⁸ grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ of God²³¹⁶ that bringeth salvation⁴⁹⁹² hath appeared²⁰¹⁴ to all³⁹⁵⁶ men,⁴⁴⁴

11  모든 사람에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의G2316 은혜가G5485 나타나

11  For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

11  이는 구원을 주시는 하나님(엘로힘)의 은혜가 모든 사람에게 나타나서,

12  Teaching³⁸¹¹ us²²⁴⁸ that,²⁴⁴³ denying⁷²⁰ ungodliness⁷⁶³ and²⁵³² worldly²⁸⁸⁶ lusts,¹⁹³⁹ we should live²¹⁹⁸ soberly, righteously,^{4996, (1346)} and²⁵³² godly,²¹⁵³ in¹⁷²² this present³⁵⁶⁸ world;¹⁶⁵

12  우리를 양육하시되 경건치 않은 것과 이 세상 정욕을 다 버리고 근신함과 의로움과 경건함으로 이 세상에 살고

12  teaching us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly, righteously and godly, in this present world,

12 우리를 가르치시되, 불경건과 세상 정욕들을 거부하고, 우리로 신중하며, 의롭고 경건하게 이 현 세상을 살아가게 하시며,

13  Looking for⁴³²⁷ that blessed³¹⁰⁷ hope,¹⁶⁸⁰ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ glorious¹³⁹¹ appearing²⁰¹⁵ of the³⁵⁸⁸ great³¹⁷³ God²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² our²²⁵⁷ Savior⁴⁹⁹⁰ Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ;⁵⁵⁴⁷

13  복스러운 소망과 우리의 크신 하나님G2316 구주 예수G2424 그리스도의G5547 영광이 나타나심을 기다리게 하셨으니

13  looking for the blessed hope, and the appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

13  복된 소망과 위대하신 하나님(엘로힘)이시며 우리 구주이신 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)의 영광스러운 나타나심을 기다리게 하셨으니,

14  Who³⁷³⁹ gave¹³²⁵ himself¹⁴³⁸ for⁵²²⁸ us,²²⁵⁷ that²⁴⁴³ he might redeem³⁰⁸⁴ us²²⁴⁸ from⁵⁷⁵ all³⁹⁵⁶ iniquity,⁴⁵⁸ and²⁵³² purify²⁵¹¹ unto himself¹⁴³⁸ a peculiar⁴⁰⁴¹ people,²⁹⁹² zealous²²⁰⁷ of good²⁵⁷⁰ works.²⁰⁴¹

14  그가 우리를 대신하여 자신을 주심은 모든 불법에서 우리를 구속하시고 우리를 깨끗하게 하사 선한 일에 열심하는 친 백성이 되게 하려 하심이니라

14  who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify to Himself a special people, zealous of good works.

14  그가 우리를 위하여 자신을 주신 것은 우리를 모든 죄악에서 구속하시고 자신을 위해 정결케 하사 선한 일에 열심을 내는 독특한 백성이 되게 하려 하심이라.

15  These things⁵⁰²³ speak,²⁹⁸⁰ and²⁵³² exhort,³⁸⁷⁰ and²⁵³² rebuke¹⁶⁵¹ with³³²⁶ all³⁹⁵⁶ authority.²⁰⁰³ Let no man³³⁶⁷ despise⁴⁰⁶⁵ thee.⁴⁶⁷⁵

15  너는 이것을 말하고 권면하며 모든 권위로 책망하여 누구에게든지 업신여김을 받지 말라

15  Speak these things, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

15   이런 것들을 말하고 권면하며 모든 권위를 가지고 책망하여 아무도 너를 업신여기지 못하게 하라.
