1  Put them in mind^{5279, 846} to be subject⁵²⁹³ to principalities⁷⁴⁶ and²⁵³² powers,¹⁸⁴⁹ to obey magistrates,³⁹⁸⁰ to be¹⁵¹¹ ready²⁰⁹² to⁴³¹⁴ every³⁹⁵⁶ good¹⁸ work,²⁰⁴¹

1  너는 저희로 하여금 정사와 권세 잡은 자들에게 복종하며 순종하며 모든 선한 일 행하기를 예비하게 하며

1  Put them in mind to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to every good work,

1   그들을 일깨워 정사나 권세 있는 자들에게 복종하고 행정관들에게 순종하며, 모든 선한 일을 예비하고,

2  To speak evil⁹⁸⁷ of no man,³³⁶⁷ to be¹⁵¹¹ no brawlers,²⁶⁹ but gentle,¹⁹³³ showing¹⁷³¹ all³⁹⁵⁶ meekness⁴²³⁶ unto⁴³¹⁴ all³⁹⁵⁶ men.⁴⁴⁴

2  아무도 훼방하지 말며 다투지 말며 관용하며 범사에 온유함을 모든 사람에게 나타낼 것을 기억하게 하라

2  to speak evil of no one, not being quarrelsome, but forbearing, showing all meekness to all men.

2   아무도 비방하지 말며, 말다툼하지 말고, 유순하여 모든 사람들에게 온전한 온유함을 보이게 하라.

3  For¹⁰⁶³ we²²⁴⁹ ourselves also²⁵³² were²²⁵⁸ sometimes⁴²¹⁸ foolish,⁴⁵³ disobedient,⁵⁴⁵ deceived,⁴¹⁰⁵ serving¹³⁹⁸ divers⁴¹⁶⁴ lusts¹⁹³⁹ and²⁵³² pleasures,²²³⁷ living¹²³⁶ in¹⁷²² malice²⁵⁴⁹ and²⁵³² envy,⁵³⁵⁵ hateful,⁴⁷⁶⁷ and hating³⁴⁰⁴ one another.²⁴⁰

3  우리도 전에는 어리석은 자요 순종치 아니한 자요 속은 자요 각색 정욕과 행락에 종노릇한 자요 악독과 투기로 지낸 자요 가증스러운 자요 피차 미워한 자이었으나

3  For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

3  우리도 한때는 어리석고 복종치 아니하며, 미혹당하고, 여러 가지 욕심과 쾌락에 종노릇 하며, 악과 시기 속에서 살고, 가증스러우며, 서로 증오하는 자였으나,

4  But¹¹⁶¹ after³⁷⁵³ that the³⁵⁸⁸ kindness⁵⁵⁴⁴ and²⁵³² love of God our Savior toward man^{5363, 2316, 2257, 4990} appeared,²⁰¹⁴

4  우리 구주 하나님의G2316 자비와 사람 사랑하심을 나타내실 때에

4  But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,

4  그후 인간을 향한 우리 구주 하나님(야훼)의 인자하심과 사랑이 나타나서,

5  Not³⁷⁵⁶ by¹⁵³⁷ works²⁰⁴¹ of¹⁷²² righteousness¹³⁴³ which³⁷³⁹ we²²⁴⁹ have done,⁴¹⁶⁰ but²³⁵ according²⁵⁹⁶ to his⁸⁴⁸ mercy¹⁶⁵⁶ he saved⁴⁹⁸² us,²²⁴⁸ by¹²²³ the washing³⁰⁶⁷ of regeneration,³⁸²⁴ and²⁵³² renewing³⁴² of the Holy⁴⁰ Ghost;⁴¹⁵¹

5  우리를 구원하시되G4982 우리의 행한바 의로운 행위로 말미암지 아니하고 오직 그의 긍휼하심을G1656 좇아 중생의G3824 씻음G3067과 성G40령의G4151 새롭게 하심으로G342  하셨나니

5  not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

5   우리가 행한 의로운 행위에 의하지 않고 그의 자비하심에 따라 중생의 씻음과 성령의 새롭게 하심으로 우리를 구원하셨으니

6  Which³⁷³⁹ he shed¹⁶³² on¹⁹⁰⁹ us²²⁴⁸ abundantly⁴¹⁴⁶ through¹²²³ Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ our²²⁵⁷ Savior;⁴⁹⁹⁰

6  성령을 우리 구주 예수G2424 그리스도로G5547 말미암아 우리에게 풍성히 부어주사

6  whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

6   이 성령을 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악H4899) 우리 구주를 통하여 우리에게 풍성히 부어 주셨느니라.

7  That²⁴⁴³ being justified¹³⁴⁴ by his¹⁵⁶⁵ grace,⁵⁴⁸⁵ we should be made¹⁰⁹⁶ heirs²⁸¹⁸ according²⁵⁹⁶ to the hope¹⁶⁸⁰ of eternal¹⁶⁶ life.²²²²

7  우리로 저의 은혜를 힘입어 의롭다 하심을 얻어 영생의 소망을 따라 후사가G2818 되게 하려 하심이라

7  that being justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

7  이는 우리가 그의 은혜로 인하여 의롭게 되어 영원한 생명의 소망을 따라 상속자들이 되게 하려 하심이라.

8  This is a faithful⁴¹⁰³ saying,³⁰⁵⁶ and²⁵³² these things⁽⁵¹³⁰⁾ I will¹⁰¹⁴ that thou⁴⁵⁷¹ affirm constantly,¹²²⁶ that²⁴⁴³ they which have believed⁴¹⁰⁰ in God²³¹⁶ might be careful⁵⁴³¹ to maintain⁴²⁹¹ good²⁵⁷⁰ works.²⁰⁴¹ These things⁵⁰²³ are²⁰⁷⁶ good²⁵⁷⁰ and²⁵³² profitable⁵⁶²⁴ unto men.⁴⁴⁴

8  이 말이 미쁘도다 원컨대 네가 이 여러 것에 대하여 굳세게 말하라 이는 하나님을G2316 믿는 자들로 하여금 조심하여 선한 일을 힘쓰게 하려 함이라 이것은 아름다우며 사람들에게 유익하니라

8  Faithful is the Word, and as to these things, I desire that you strongly affirm that those believing God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

8  이 말씀은 신실하도다. 내가 너로 이런 것들에 관하여 강력하게 확언하기를 원하노니, 이는 하나님(야훼를)을 믿는 사람들이 선한 일들에 유념하여 진력하게 하려 함이라. 이런 것들은 선하며 사람들에게 유익하니라.

9  But¹¹⁶¹ avoid⁴⁰²⁶ foolish³⁴⁷⁴ questions,²²¹⁴ and²⁵³² genealogies,¹⁰⁷⁶ and²⁵³² contentions,²⁰⁵⁴ and²⁵³² strivings³¹⁶³ about the law;³⁵⁴⁴ for¹⁰⁶³ they are¹⁵²⁶ unprofitable⁵¹² and²⁵³² vain.³¹⁵²

9  그러나 어리석은 변론과 족보 이야기와 분쟁과 율법에 대한 다툼을 피하라 이것은 무익한 것이요 헛된 것이니라

9  But avoid foolish questions and genealogies and contentions, and strivings about the Law, for they are unprofitable and vain.

9  그러나 어리석은 논쟁들과 족보 이야기와 다툼과 율법에 대한 언쟁을 피하라. 그런 것은 무익하고 헛된 것이니라.

10  A man⁴⁴⁴ that is a heretic¹⁴¹ after³³²⁶ the first³³⁹¹ and²⁵³² second¹²⁰⁸ admonition³⁵⁵⁹ reject;³⁸⁶⁸

10  이단에 속한 사람을 한 두번 훈계한 후에 멀리 하라

10  After the first and second warning, reject a man of heresy,

10   이단 종파에 속한 사람은 한두 번 훈계한 후에 거절하라.

11  Knowing¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ he that is such⁵¹⁰⁸ is subverted,¹⁶¹² and²⁵³² sinneth,²⁶⁴ being⁵⁶⁰⁷ condemned of himself.⁸⁴³

11  이러한 사람은 네가 아는 바와 같이 부패하여서 스스로 정죄한 자로서 죄를 짓느니라

11  knowing that he who is such has been perverted, and sins, being self-condemned.

11  네가 알거니와 그러한 자는 타락하고 죄를 지어 스스로 정죄받는 자니라.

12  When³⁷⁵² I shall send³⁹⁹² Artemas⁷³⁴ unto⁴³¹⁴ thee,⁴⁵⁷¹ or²²²⁸ Tychicus,⁵¹⁹⁰ be diligent⁴⁷⁰⁴ to come²⁰⁶⁴ unto⁴³¹⁴ me³¹⁶⁵ to¹⁵¹⁹ Nicopolis:³⁵³³ for¹⁰⁶³ I have determined²⁹¹⁹ there¹⁵⁶³ to winter.³⁹¹⁴

12  내가 아데마나 두기고를 네게 보내리니 그 때에 네가 급히 니고볼리로 내게 오라 내가 거기서 과동하기로 작정하였노라

12  When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, hasten to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have determined to winter there.

12   내가 아테마나 투기고를 네게 보내면 니코폴리에 있는 내게 오도록 서두르라. 내가 거기서 겨울을 지내기로 작정하였느니라.

13  Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey^{4311, 2211, 3588, 3544, 2532, 625} diligently,⁴⁷⁰⁹ that²⁴⁴³ nothing³³⁶⁷ be wanting³⁰⁰⁷ unto them.⁸⁴⁶

13  교법사 세나와 및 아볼로를 급히 먼저 보내어 저희로 궁핍함이 없게 하고

13  Diligently set forward Zenas the lawyer, and Apollos, that nothing may be lacking to them.

13  율법사 세나와 아폴로를 속히 보내고 그들에게 아무것도 궁핍함이 없게 하라.

14  And¹¹⁶¹ let ours²²⁵¹ also²⁵³² learn³¹²⁹ to maintain⁴²⁹¹ good²⁵⁷⁰ works²⁰⁴¹ for¹⁵¹⁹ necessary³¹⁶ uses,⁵⁵³² that²⁴⁴³ they be⁵⁶⁰⁰ not³³⁶¹ unfruitful.¹⁷⁵

14  또 우리 사람들도 열매 없는 자가 되지 않게 하기 위하여 필요한 것을 예비하는 좋은 일에 힘쓰기를 배우게 하라

14  And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, so that they may not be unfruitful.

14    또한 우리에게 속한 사람들도 필요한 것들을 위해서 선한 일에 진력하는 법을 배우게 하라. 이는 그들로 열매없는 자가 되지 않게 하려 함이라.

15  All³⁹⁵⁶ that³⁵⁸⁸ are with³³²⁶ me¹⁷⁰⁰ salute⁷⁸² thee.⁴⁵⁷¹ Greet⁷⁸² them that love⁵³⁶⁸ us²²⁴⁸ in¹⁷²² the faith.⁴¹⁰² Grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ be with³³²⁶ you⁵²¹⁶ all.³⁹⁵⁶ Amen.²⁸¹

15  나와 함께 있는 자가 다 네게 문안하니 믿음 안에서 우리를 사랑하는 자들에게 너도 문안하라 은혜가 너희 무리에게 있을지어다

15  All those with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the faith. May grace be with you all. Amen.
