1  Paul,³⁹⁷² a servant¹⁴⁰¹ of God,²³¹⁶ and¹¹⁶¹ an apostle⁶⁵² of Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ according²⁵⁹⁶ to the faith⁴¹⁰² of God's²³¹⁶ elect,¹⁵⁸⁸ and²⁵³² the acknowledging¹⁹²² of the truth²²⁵ which³⁵⁸⁸ is after²⁵⁹⁶ godliness;²¹⁵⁰

1  Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ (according to the faith of God's elect, in the acknowledging of the truth which is according to godliness

1  하나님(야훼)의 종이요, 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악H4899)의 사도인 바울은, 이는 하나님(야훼)의 택하신 자들의 믿음과 경건에 준한 진리의 지식에 따라

2  In¹⁹⁰⁹ hope¹⁶⁸⁰ of eternal¹⁶⁶ life,²²²² which³⁷³⁹ God,²³¹⁶ that cannot lie,⁸⁹³ promised¹⁸⁶¹ before⁴²⁵³ the world began;^{166, 5550}

2  영G166생의G2222 소망을G1680 인함이라 이 영생은 거짓이 없으신 하나님이G2316 영원한 때G166, G5550 전부터G4253 약속하신 것인데

2  on hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the eternal times,

2    영생의 소망 안에서 주어진 것으로, 이 영생의 소망은 거짓말하실 수 없는 하나님(엘로힘)께서 세상이 시작되기 이전에 약속하셨다가

3  But¹¹⁶¹ hath in due²³⁹⁸ times²⁵⁴⁰ manifested⁵³¹⁹ his⁸⁴⁸ word³⁰⁵⁶ through¹⁷²² preaching,²⁷⁸² which³⁷³⁹ is committed⁴¹⁰⁰ unto me¹⁴⁷³ according²⁵⁹⁶ to the commandment²⁰⁰³ of God²³¹⁶ our²²⁵⁷ Savior;⁴⁹⁹⁰

3  자기 때에 자기의 말씀을 전도로 나타내셨으니 이 전도는 우리 구주 하나님의G2316 명대로 내게 맡기신 것이라

3  but revealed His Word in its own times in a proclamation, with which I was entrusted by the command of God our Savior,)

3   때가 되어 그의 말씀을 복음 전파를 통해 나타내셨는데, 이 일은 우리 구주 하나님(엘로힘)의 명령에 따라 내게 맡겨진 것이라.

4  To Titus,⁵¹⁰³ mine own¹¹⁰³ son⁵⁰⁴³ after²⁵⁹⁶ the common²⁸³⁹ faith:⁴¹⁰² Grace,⁵⁴⁸⁵ mercy,¹⁶⁵⁶ and peace,¹⁵¹⁵ from⁵⁷⁵ God²³¹⁶ the Father³⁹⁶² and²⁵³² the Lord²⁹⁶² Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ our²²⁵⁷ Savior.⁴⁹⁹⁰

4  같은 믿음을 따라 된 나의 참 아들 디도에게 편지하노니 하나님G2316 아버지와 그리스도G5547 예수G2424 우리 구주로 좇아 은혜와 평강이 네게 있을지어다

4  to Titus, a true child according to our common faith. Grace mercy and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

4    같은 믿음을 따라 나의 참아들 된 디도에게 편지하노니, 하나님(야훼) 아버지와 우리의 구주이신 주(아도나이H136) 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(마쉬악으)로부터 은혜와 자비와 평강이 있을지어다.

5  For this cause^{5484, 5127} left²⁶⁴¹ I thee⁴⁵⁷¹ in¹⁷²² Crete,²⁹¹⁴ that²⁴⁴³ thou shouldest set in order¹⁹³⁰ the things that are wanting,³⁰⁰⁷ and²⁵³² ordain²⁵²⁵ elders⁴²⁴⁵ in every city,^{2596, 4172} as⁵⁶¹³ I¹⁴⁷³ had appointed¹²⁹⁹ thee:⁴⁶⁷¹

5  내가 너를 그레데에 떨어뜨려 둔 이유는 부족한 일을 바로잡고 나의 명한대로 각 성에 장로들을G4245 세우게 하려 함이니

5  For this cause I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed you,

5 내가 너를 크레테에 남겨 놓은 이유는 너로 부족한 일들을 바로잡고, 내가 명한 대로 각 성읍에 장로들을 세우게 하려 함이니

6  If any¹⁵³⁶ be²⁰⁷⁶ blameless,⁴¹⁰ the husband⁴³⁵ of one³³⁹¹ wife,¹¹³⁵ having²¹⁹² faithful⁴¹⁰³ children⁵⁰⁴³ not³³⁶¹ accused^{1722, 2724} of riot⁸¹⁰ or²²²⁸ unruly.⁵⁰⁶

6  책망할 것이 없고 한 아내의 남편이며 방탕하다 하는 비방이나 불순종하는 일이 없는 믿는 자녀를 둔 자라야 할지라

6  if anyone is blameless, husband of one wife, having believing children, not accused of loose behavior, or disobedient.

6  누가 되더라도 비난받을 것이 없고 한 아내의 남편이어야 하며, 방탕하다거나 불순종한다는 비방을 받지 않는 신실한 자녀를 둔 사람이어야 하느니라.

7  For¹⁰⁶³ a bishop¹⁹⁸⁵ must¹¹⁶³ be¹⁵¹¹ blameless,⁴¹⁰ as⁵⁶¹³ the steward³⁶²³ of God;²³¹⁶ not³³⁶¹ self-willed,⁸²⁹ not³³⁶¹ soon angry,³⁷¹¹ not³³⁶¹ given to wine,³⁹⁴³ no³³⁶¹ striker,⁴¹³¹ not³³⁶¹ given to filthy lucre;¹⁴⁶

7  감독은G1985 하나님의G2316 청지기로서 책망할 것이 없고 제 고집대로 하지 아니하며 급히 분내지 아니하며 술을 즐기지 아니하며 구타하지 아니하며 더러운 이를 탐하지 아니하며

7  For an overseer must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not full of passion, not given to wine, not quarrelsome, not greedy for ill gain;

7  감독은 하나님(야훼)의 청지기로서 비난받을 것이 없고 자기 고집대로 아니하며, 쉬 화내지 아니하고 술을 즐기지 아니하며, 구타하지 아니하고 더러운 이익을 탐내지 아니하며

8  But²³⁵ a lover of hospitality,⁵³⁸² a lover of good men,⁵³⁵⁸ sober,⁴⁹⁹⁸ just,¹³⁴² holy,³⁷⁴¹ temperate;¹⁴⁶⁸

8  오직 나그네를 대접하며 선을 좋아하며 근신하며 의로우며 거룩하며 절제하며

8  but hospitable, a lover of good, discreet, just, holy, temperate,

8   대접하기를 좋아하고, 선한 사람들을 좋아하며, 신중하고 정의로우며, 거룩하고 절제하며,

9  Holding fast⁴⁷² the³⁵⁸⁸ faithful⁴¹⁰³ word³⁰⁵⁶ as he hath been taught,^{2596, 1322} that²⁴⁴³ he may be⁵⁶⁰⁰ able¹⁴¹⁵ by¹⁷²² sound⁵¹⁹⁸ doctrine¹³¹⁹ both²⁵³² to exhort³⁸⁷⁰ and²⁵³² to convince¹⁶⁵¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ gainsayers.⁴⁸³

9  미쁜 말씀의 가르침을 그대로 지켜야 하리니 이는 능히 바른 교훈으로 권면하고 거스려 말하는 자들을 책망하게 하려 함이라

9  holding fast the faithful Word according to the doctrine, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and to convict the gainsayers.

9 가르침 받은 대로 신실한 말씀을 굳게 붙잡아야 하리니, 이는 그가 반박하는 자들을 건전한 교리로 권면하고 설득할 수 있게 하려는 것이라.

10  For¹⁰⁶³ there are¹⁵²⁶ many⁴¹⁸³ unruly^{(2532), 506} and vain talkers³¹⁵¹ and²⁵³² deceivers,⁵⁴²³ especially³¹²² they³⁵⁸⁸ of¹⁵³⁷ the circumcision:⁴⁰⁶¹

10  복종치 아니하고 헛된 말을 하며 속이는 자가 많은 중 특별히 할례당 가운데 심하니

10  For there are indeed many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,

10  이는 불복종하는 자들과 헛된 말을 하는 자들과 속이는 자들이 많기 때문이며, 특히 할례파 중에 그러한 자들이 많으니

11  Whose³⁷³⁹ mouths must be stopped,^{1993, 1163} who³⁷⁴⁸ subvert³⁹⁶ whole³⁶⁵⁰ houses,³⁶²⁴ teaching¹³²¹ things which³⁷³⁹ they ought¹¹⁶³ not,³³⁶¹ for filthy lucre's sake.^{5484, 150, 2771}

11  저희의 입을 막을 것이라 이런 자들이 더러운 이를 취하려고 마땅치 아니한 것을 가르쳐 집들을 온통 엎드러치는도다

11  whose mouth you must stop, who subvert whole houses, teaching things not right for the sake of ill gain.

11  더러운 이익 때문에 가르쳐서는 안될 것들을 가르쳐서 집들을 온통 뒤집어 놓는 그들의 입을 막아야 될 것이라.

12  One⁵¹⁰⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ themselves,⁸⁴⁶ even a prophet⁴³⁹⁶ of their⁸⁴⁶ own,²³⁹⁸ said,²⁰³⁶ The Cretians²⁹¹² are always¹⁰⁴ liars,⁵⁵⁸³ evil²⁵⁵⁶ beasts,²³⁴² slow⁶⁹² bellies.¹⁰⁶⁴

12  그레데인 중에 어떤 선지자가 말하되 그레데인들은 항상 거짓말장이며 악한 짐승이며 배만 위하는 게으름장이라 하니

12  One of them, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.

12 그들 중의 하나인, 그들 자신의 선지자조차도 말하기를 "크레테인들은 항상 거짓말쟁이들이고 악한 짐승들이며, 게으른 탐식가들이라." 했으니,

13  This³⁷⁷⁸ witness³¹⁴¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ true.²²⁷ Wherefore^{1223, 3739, 156} rebuke¹⁶⁵¹ them⁸⁴⁶ sharply,⁶⁶⁴ that²⁴⁴³ they may be sound⁵¹⁹⁸ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ faith;⁴¹⁰²

13  이 증거가 참되도다 그러므로 네가 저희를 엄히 꾸짖으라 이는 저희로 하여금 믿음을 온전케 하고

13  This witness is true; for which cause convict them sharply, so that they may be sound in the faith,

13  이 증거가 옳도다. 그러므로 너는 그들을 엄히 꾸짖어 그들로 믿음 안에서 건전해지게 하고,

14  Not³³⁶¹ giving heed⁴³³⁷ to Jewish²⁴⁵¹ fables,³⁴⁵⁴ and²⁵³² commandments¹⁷⁸⁵ of men,⁴⁴⁴ that turn from⁶⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ truth.²²⁵

14  유대인의 허탄한 이야기와 진리를 배반하는 사람들의 명령을 좇지 않게 하려 함이라

14  not giving heed to Jewish myths and commandments of men, turning away from the truth.

14 유대인들의 꾸며낸 이야기와 진리에서 벗어난 사람들의 계명들에 귀를 기울이지 못하게 하라.

15  Unto the³⁵⁸⁸ pure²⁵¹³ all things³⁹⁵⁶ are⁽³³⁰³⁾ pure:²⁵¹³ but¹¹⁶¹ unto them³⁵⁸⁸ that are defiled³³⁹² and²⁵³² unbelieving⁵⁷¹ is nothing³⁷⁶² pure;²⁵¹³ but²³⁵ even²⁵³² their⁸⁴⁶ mind³⁵⁶³ and²⁵³² conscience⁴⁸⁹³ is defiled.³³⁹²

15  깨끗한 자들에게는 모든 것이 깨끗하나 더럽고 믿지 아니하는 자들에게는 아무 것도 깨끗한 것이 없고 오직 저희 마음과 양심이 더러운지라

15  To the pure all things are pure. But to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure, but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

15  정결한 사람들에게는 모든 것이 정결하나 더럽혀진 자들과 믿지 않는 자들에게는 아무것도 정결한 것이 없고, 도리어 그들의 마음과 양심이 다 더럽혀져 있느니라.

16  They profess³⁶⁷⁰ that they know¹⁴⁹² God;²³¹⁶ but¹¹⁶¹ in works²⁰⁴¹ they deny⁷²⁰ him, being⁵⁶⁰⁷ abominable,⁹⁴⁷ and²⁵³² disobedient,⁵⁴⁵ and²⁵³² unto⁴³¹⁴ every³⁹⁵⁶ good¹⁸ work²⁰⁴¹ reprobate.⁹⁶

16  저희가 하나님을G2316 시인하나 행위로는 부인하니 가증한 자요 복종치 아니하는 자요 모든 선한 일을 버리는 자니라

16  They profess that they know God, but in their works they deny Him, being abominable and disobedient and reprobate to every good work.

16   그들이 하나님(야훼)을 안다고 고백하나 행위로는 부인하나니, 가증한 자요, 불순종하는 자요, 모든 선한 일을 배척하는 자들이라.
