1  Beloved,²⁷ believe⁴¹⁰⁰ not³³⁶¹ every³⁹⁵⁶ spirit,⁴¹⁵¹ but²³⁵ try¹³⁸¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ spirits⁴¹⁵¹ whether¹⁴⁸⁷ they are²⁰⁷⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ God:²³¹⁶ because³⁷⁵⁴ many⁴¹⁸³ false prophets⁵⁵⁷⁸ are gone out¹⁸³¹ into¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ world.²⁸⁸⁹

1  사랑하는 자들아 영을 다 믿지 말고 오직 영들이 하나님께G2316 속하였나 시험하라 많은 거짓 선지자가 세상에 나왔음이니라

1  Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits to see if they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1   사랑하는 자들아, 모든 영을 다 믿지 말고 그 영들이 하나님(엘로힘)께 속하였는지 시험하라. 이는 많은 거짓 선지자들이 세상에 나왔음이니라.

2  Hereby^{1722, 5129} know¹⁰⁹⁷ ye the³⁵⁸⁸ Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ of God:²³¹⁶ Every³⁹⁵⁶ spirit⁴¹⁵¹ that³⁷³⁹ confesseth³⁶⁷⁰ that Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ is come²⁰⁶⁴ in¹⁷²² the flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ God:²³¹⁶

2  하나님의G2316 영은G4151 이것으로 알지니 곧 예수G2424 그리스도께서G5547 육체로 오신 것을 시인하는 영마다 하나님께G2316 속한 것이요

2  By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God;

2   하나님(엘로힘)의 영을 너희가 이렇게 알지니, 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(마쉬악)께서 육신으로 오신 것을 시인하는 모든 영은 하나님(엘로힘)께 속한 것이요

3  And²⁵³² every³⁹⁵⁶ spirit⁴¹⁵¹ that³⁷³⁹ confesseth³⁶⁷⁰ not³³⁶¹ that Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ is come²⁰⁶⁴ in¹⁷²² the flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ God:²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² this⁵¹²⁴ is²⁰⁷⁶ that³⁵⁸⁸ spirit of antichrist,⁵⁰⁰ whereof³⁷³⁹ ye have heard¹⁹¹ that³⁷⁵⁴ it should come;²⁰⁶⁴ and²⁵³² even now³⁵⁶⁸ already²²³⁵ is²⁰⁷⁶ it in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ world.²⁸⁸⁹

3  예수를G2424 시인하지 아니하는 영마다 하나님께G2316 속한 것이 아니니 이것이 곧 적그리스도G500의 영이니라 오리라 한 말을 너희가 들었거니와 이제 벌써 세상에 있느니라

3  and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the antichrist you heard is coming, and even now is already in the world.

3    예수(야슈아) 그리스도(마쉬악)께서 육신으로 오신 것을 시인하지 아니하는 모든 영은 하나님(엘로힘)께 속한 것이 아니니, 이것이 곧 적그리스도(적-마쉬악)의 영이니라. 그것이 오리라는 것을 너희가 들었으나 지금 그것이 이미 세상에 있느니라.

4  Ye⁵²¹⁰ are²⁰⁷⁵ of¹⁵³⁷ God,²³¹⁶ little children,⁵⁰⁴⁰ and²⁵³² have overcome³⁵²⁸ them:⁸⁴⁶ because³⁷⁵⁴ greater³¹⁸⁷ is²⁰⁷⁶ he³⁵⁸⁸ that is in¹⁷²² you,⁵²¹³ than²²²⁸ he³⁵⁸⁸ that is in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ world.²⁸⁸⁹

4  자녀들아 너희는 하나님께G2316 속하였고 또 저희를 이기었나니 이는 너희 안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 이보다 크심이라

4  You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

4   어린 자녀들아, 너희는 하나님(엘로힘)께 속하였고 또 그들을 이겼으니, 이는 너희 안에 계신 분이 세상에 있는 자보다 더 크시기 때문이라.

5  They⁸⁴⁶ are¹⁵²⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ world:²⁸⁸⁹ therefore^{1223, 5124} speak²⁹⁸⁰ they of¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ world²⁸⁸⁹ heareth¹⁹¹ them.⁸⁴⁶

5  저희는 세상에 속한 고로 세상에 속한 말을 하매 세상이 저희 말을 듣느니라

5  They are of the world, therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.

5  그들은 세상에 속하였으므로 세상에 관한 말을 하나니 세상이 그들의 말을 듣느니라.

6  We²²⁴⁹ are²⁰⁷⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ God:²³¹⁶ he that knoweth¹⁰⁹⁷ God²³¹⁶ heareth¹⁹¹ us;²²⁵⁷ he that³⁷³⁹ is²⁰⁷⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ God²³¹⁶ heareth¹⁹¹ not³⁷⁵⁶ us.²²⁵⁷ Hereby^{1537, 5127} know¹⁰⁹⁷ we the³⁵⁸⁸ spirit⁴¹⁵¹ of truth,²²⁵ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ spirit⁴¹⁵¹ of error.⁴¹⁰⁶

6  우리는 하나님께G2316 속하였으니 하나님을G2316 아는 자는 우리의 말을 듣고 하나님께G2316 속하지 아니한 자는 우리의 말을 듣지 아니하나니 진리의 영과 미혹의 영을 이로써 아느니라

6  We are of God. He who knows God hears us. The one who is not of God does not hear us. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

6    우리는 하나님(엘로힘)께 속하였으니, 하나님(엘로힘)을 아는 자는 우리의 말을 듣고 하나님(엘로힘)께 속하지 아니한 자는 우리의 말을 듣지 않느니라. 이로써 우리가 진리의 영과 미혹의 영을 아느니라.

7  Beloved,²⁷ let us love²⁵ one another:²⁴⁰ for³⁷⁵⁴ love²⁶ is²⁰⁷⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ God;²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² every one³⁹⁵⁶ that loveth²⁵ is born¹⁰⁸⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ God,²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² knoweth¹⁰⁹⁷ God.²³¹⁶

7  사랑하는 자들아 우리가 서로 사랑하자 사랑은 하나님께 G2316속한 것이니 사랑하는 자마다 하나님께G2316로 나서 하나님을G2316 알고

7  Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God.

7  사랑하는 자들아, 우리가 서로 사랑하자. 이는 사랑이 하나님(엘로힘)께 속한 것이기 때문이라. 사랑하는 사람은 누구나 하나님(엘로힘)께로부터 태어났으며 또 하나님(엘로힘)을 아느니라.

8  He that loveth²⁵ not³³⁶¹ knoweth¹⁰⁹⁷ not³⁷⁵⁶ God;²³¹⁶ for³⁷⁵⁴ God²³¹⁶ is²⁰⁷⁶ love.²⁶

8  사랑하지 아니하는 자는 하나님을G2316 알지 못하나니 이는 하나님은G2316 사랑이심이라

8  The one who does not love has not known God. For God is love.

8 사랑하지 아니하는 자는 하나님(엘로힘)을 알지 못하나니, 하나님(엘로힘)은 사랑이시기 때문이라.

9  In¹⁷²² this⁵¹²⁹ was manifested⁵³¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ love²⁶ of God²³¹⁶ toward¹⁷²² us,²²⁵⁴ because³⁷⁵⁴ that God²³¹⁶ sent⁶⁴⁹ his⁸⁴⁸ only begotten³⁴³⁹ Son⁵²⁰⁷ into¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ that²⁴⁴³ we might live²¹⁹⁸ through¹²²³ him.⁸⁴⁶

9  하나님의G2316 사랑이 우리에게 이렇게 나타난바 되었으니 하나님이G2316 자기의 독생자를 세상에 보내심은 저로 말미암아 우리를 살리려 하심이니라

9  In this the love of God was revealed in us, because God sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him.

9  우리를 향한 하나님(엘로힘)의 사랑이 이렇게 나타났으니, 곧 하나님(엘로힘)께서 그의 독생자를 세상에 보내신 것은 우리로 그를 통하여 살게 하려 하심이라.

10  Herein^{1722, 5129} is²⁰⁷⁶ love,²⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ that³⁷⁵⁴ we²²⁴⁹ loved²⁵ God,²³¹⁶ but²³⁵ that³⁷⁵⁴ he⁸⁴⁶ loved²⁵ us,²²⁴⁸ and²⁵³² sent⁶⁴⁹ his⁸⁴⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ to be the propitiation²⁴³⁴ for⁴⁰¹² our²²⁵⁷ sins.²⁶⁶

10  사랑은 여기 있으니 우리가 하나님을G2316 사랑한 것이 아니요 오직 하나님(그분)이 우리를 사랑하사 우리 죄를 위하여 화목제로 그 아들을 보내셨음이니라

10  In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation concerning our sins.

10   여기에 사랑이 있으니, 우리가 하나님(엘로힘)을 사랑한 것이 아니요 그 분이 우리를 사랑하시고 그의 아들을 우리 죄들을 위하여 화목제물로 보내신 것이라.

11  Beloved,²⁷ if¹⁴⁸⁷ God²³¹⁶ so³⁷⁷⁹ loved²⁵ us,²²⁴⁸ we²²⁴⁹ ought³⁷⁸⁴ also²⁵³² to love²⁵ one another.²⁴⁰

11  사랑하는 자들아 하나님이G2316 이같이 우리를 사랑하셨은즉 우리도 서로 사랑하는 것이 마땅하도다

11  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

11  사랑하는 자들아, 하나님(엘로힘)께서 이처럼 우리를 사랑하셨으니 우리도 서로 사랑하는 것이 마땅하도다.

12  No man³⁷⁶² hath seen²³⁰⁰ God²³¹⁶ at any time.⁴⁴⁵⁵ If¹⁴³⁷ we love²⁵ one another,²⁴⁰ God²³¹⁶ dwelleth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² us,²²⁵⁴ and²⁵³² his⁸⁴⁸ love²⁶ is²⁰⁷⁶ perfected⁵⁰⁴⁸ in¹⁷²² us.²²⁵⁴

12  어느 때나 하나님을G2316 본 사람이 없으되 만일 우리가 서로 사랑하면 하나님이G2316 우리 안에 거하시고 그의 사랑이 우리 안에 온전히 이루느니라

12  No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and His love is perfected in us.

12 어느 때에도 하나님(야훼를)을 본 사람은 아무도 없으나, 우리가 서로 사랑하면 하나님(엘로힘)께서 우리 안에 거하시고, 그의 사랑이 우리 안에서 온전해지느니라.

13  Hereby^{1722, 5129} know¹⁰⁹⁷ we that³⁷⁵⁴ we dwell³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² him,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² he⁸⁴⁶ in¹⁷²² us,²²⁵⁴ because³⁷⁵⁴ he hath given¹³²⁵ us²²⁵⁴ of¹⁵³⁷ his⁸⁴⁸ Spirit.⁴¹⁵¹

13  그의 성령을G4151 우리에게 주시므로 우리가 그 안에 거하고 그가 우리 안에 거하시는 줄을 아느니라

13  By this we know that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

13   이로써 우리가 그 분 안에, 그 분이 우리 안에 거하시는 것을 우리가 아노니 이는 그 분이 우리에게 그의 영을 주셨음이라.

14  And²⁵³² we²²⁴⁹ have seen²³⁰⁰ and²⁵³² do testify³¹⁴⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Father³⁹⁶² sent⁶⁴⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ to be the Savior⁴⁹⁹⁰ of the³⁵⁸⁸ world.²⁸⁸⁹

14  아버지가 아들을 세상의 구주로 보내신 것을 우리가 보았고 또 증거하노니

14  And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

14  우리는 아버지께서 아들을 세상의 구주로 보내신 것을 보았고 또 증거하느니라.

15  Whosoever^{3739, 302} shall confess³⁶⁷⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ Jesus²⁴²⁴ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God,²³¹⁶ God²³¹⁶ dwelleth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² him,⁸⁴⁶ and²⁵³² he⁸⁴⁶ in¹⁷²² God.²³¹⁶

15  누구든지 예수를G2424 하나님의G2316 아들이라 시인하면 하나님이G2316 저 안에 거하시고 저도 하나님G2316 안에 거하느니라

15  Whoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in him and he in God.

15   누구든지 예수(야슈아)를 하나님(엘로힘)의 아들이라 시인하면 하나님(엘로힘)께서 그 사람 안에 거하시고 그도 하나님(엘로힘) 안에 거하느니라.

16  And²⁵³² we²²⁴⁹ have known¹⁰⁹⁷ and²⁵³² believed⁴¹⁰⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ love²⁶ that³⁷³⁹ God²³¹⁶ hath²¹⁹² to¹⁷²² us.²²⁵⁴ God²³¹⁶ is²⁰⁷⁶ love;²⁶ and²⁵³² he that dwelleth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² love²⁶ dwelleth³³⁰⁶ in¹⁷²² God,²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² God²³¹⁶ in¹⁷²² him.⁸⁴⁶

16  하나님이G2316 우리를 사랑하시는 사랑을 우리가 알고 믿었노니 하나님은G2316 사랑이시라 사랑 안에 거하는 자는 하나님G2316 안에 거하고 하나님G2316도 그 안에 거하시느니라

16  And we have known and believed the love that God has in us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

16  하나님(엘로힘)께서 우리를 향해 가지신 그 사랑을 우리가 알고 또 믿었으니, 하나님(엘로힘)은 사랑이시라. 사랑 안에 거하는 사람은 하나님(엘로힘) 안에 거하고 하나님(엘로힘)께서도 그 사람 안에 거하시느니라.

17  Herein^{1722, 5129} is⁽³³²⁶⁾ our²²⁵⁷ love²⁶ made perfect,⁵⁰⁴⁸ that²⁴⁴³ we may have²¹⁹² boldness³⁹⁵⁴ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ day²²⁵⁰ of judgment:²⁹²⁰ because³⁷⁵⁴ as²⁵³¹ he¹⁵⁶⁵ is,²⁰⁷⁶ so²⁵³² are²⁰⁷⁰ we²²⁴⁹ in¹⁷²² this⁵¹²⁹ world.²⁸⁸⁹

17  이로써 사랑이 우리에게 온전히 이룬 것은 우리로 심판 날에 담대함을 가지게 하려 함이니 주의 어떠하심과 같이 우리도 세상에서 그러하니라

17  In this is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, that as He is, so also we are in this world.

17  이렇게 우리의 사랑이 온전해졌나니, 이는 우리로 심판날에 담대함을 가지게 하려는 것이라. 이는 그 분이 그러하심과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하기 때문이니라.

18  There is²⁰⁷⁶ no³⁷⁵⁶ fear⁵⁴⁰¹ in¹⁷²² love;²⁶ but²³⁵ perfect⁵⁰⁴⁶ love²⁶ casteth⁹⁰⁶ out¹⁸⁵⁴ fear:⁵⁴⁰¹ because³⁷⁵⁴ fear⁵⁴⁰¹ hath²¹⁹² torment.^{2851, (1161)} He that feareth⁵³⁹⁹ is not³⁷⁵⁶ made perfect⁵⁰⁴⁸ in¹⁷²² love.²⁶

18  사랑 안에 두려움이 없고 온전한 사랑이 두려움을 내어 쫓나니 두려움에는 형벌이 있음이라 두려워하는 자는 사랑 안에서 온전히 이루지 못하였느니라

18  There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment. He who fears has not been perfected in love.

18  사랑 안에는 두려움이 없나니, 온전한 사랑은 두려움을 쫓아내느니라. 이는 두려움에는 고통이 있음이라. 두려워하는 자는 사랑 안에서 온전해지지 못하였느니라.

19  We²²⁴⁹ love²⁵ him,⁸⁴⁶ because³⁷⁵⁴ he⁸⁴⁶ first⁴⁴¹³ loved²⁵ us.²²⁴⁸

19  우리가 사랑함은 그가 먼저 우리를 사랑하셨음이라

19  We love Him because He first loved us.

19   우리가 그 분을 사랑하는 것은 그 분께서 먼저 우리를 사랑하셨음이라.

20  If¹⁴³⁷ a man⁵¹⁰⁰ say,²⁰³⁶ I love²⁵ God,²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² hateth³⁴⁰⁴ his⁸⁴⁸ brother,⁸⁰ he is²⁰⁷⁶ a liar:⁵⁵⁸³ for¹⁰⁶³ he that loveth²⁵ not³³⁶¹ his⁸⁴⁸ brother⁸⁰ whom³⁷³⁹ he hath seen,³⁷⁰⁸ how⁴⁴⁵⁹ can¹⁴¹⁰ he love²⁵ God²³¹⁶ whom³⁷³⁹ he hath not³⁷⁵⁶ seen?³⁷⁰⁸

20  누구든지 하나님을G2316 사랑하노라 하고 그 형제를 미워하면 이는 거짓말하는 자니 보는 바 그 형제를 사랑치 아니하는 자가 보지 못하는 바 하나님을G2316 사랑할 수 없느니라

20  If anyone says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar. For if he does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

20   어떤 사람이 "나는 하나님(엘로힘)을 사랑하노라." 하면서 자기 형제를 미워하면 그는 거짓말쟁이라. 눈으로 본 형제를 사랑하지 않는 자가 본 적이 없는 하나님(엘로힘)을 어떻게 사랑할 수 있겠느냐?

21  And²⁵³² this⁵⁰²⁶ commandment¹⁷⁸⁵ have²¹⁹² we from⁵⁷⁵ him,⁸⁴⁶ That²⁴⁴³ he who loveth²⁵ God²³¹⁶ love²⁵ his⁸⁴⁸ brother⁸⁰ also.²⁵³²

21  우리가 이 계명을 주께 받았나니 하나님을G2316 사랑하는 자는 또한 그 형제를 사랑할찌니라

21  And we have this commandment from Him, that he who loves God should love his brother also.

21  이것이 우리가 그 분께 받은 계명이니 하나님(엘로힘)을 사랑하는 자는 자기 형제도 사랑해야 하느니라.
