1  Whosoever³⁹⁵⁶ believeth⁴¹⁰⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ Jesus²⁴²⁴ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ is born¹⁰⁸⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ God:²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² every one³⁹⁵⁶ that loveth²⁵ him that begat¹⁰⁸⁰ loveth²⁵ him also that is begotten^{1080, 2532} of¹⁵³⁷ him.⁸⁴⁶

1  예수께서G2424 그리스도G5547이심을 믿는 자마다 하나님G2316께로서 난 자니 또한 내신 이를 사랑하는 자마다 그에게 난 자를 사랑하느니라

1  Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God. And everyone who loves Him who begets also loves him who has been born of Him.

1    예수(야슈아)가 그리스도(하 마쉬악H4899)이심을 믿는 사람은 누구나 하나님(엘로힘)께로부터 태어났으며, 낳으신 그분을 사랑하는 사람은 누구나 그 분께로부터 태어난 자도 사랑하느니라.

2  By¹⁷²² this⁵¹²⁹ we know¹⁰⁹⁷ that³⁷⁵⁴ we love²⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ children⁵⁰⁴³ of God,²³¹⁶ when³⁷⁵² we love²⁵ God,²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² keep⁵⁰⁸³ his⁸⁴⁸ commandments.¹⁷⁸⁵

2  우리가 하나님을G2316 사랑하고 그의 계명들을 지킬 때에 이로써 우리가 하나님의G2316 자녀 사랑하는 줄을 아느니라

2  By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments.

2  우리가 하나님(엘로힘)을 사랑하고 그의 계명들을 지키면 이것으로 우리가 하나님(엘로힘)의 자녀들을 사랑함을 아느니라.

3  For¹⁰⁶³ this³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ love²⁶ of God,²³¹⁶ that²⁴⁴³ we keep⁵⁰⁸³ his⁸⁴⁸ commandments:¹⁷⁸⁵ and²⁵³² his⁸⁴⁸ commandments¹⁷⁸⁵ are¹⁵²⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ grievous.⁹²⁶

3  하나님을G2316 사랑하는 것은G26 이것G3778이니G2076 우리가 그의G848 계명들을G1785 지키는 것이라G5083, G2443 그의 계명들은 무거운 것이G926  아니로다

3  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.

3   하나님(엘로힘)을 사랑하는 것이 이것이니, 곧 우리가 그의 계명들을 지키는 것이라. 그의 계명들은 무거운 것이 아니니라.

4  For³⁷⁵⁴ whatsoever³⁹⁵⁶ is born¹⁰⁸⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ God²³¹⁶ overcometh³⁵²⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ world:²⁸⁸⁹ and²⁵³² this³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ victory³⁵²⁹ that overcometh³⁵²⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ even our²²⁵⁷ faith.⁴¹⁰²

4  대저 하나님께G2316로서 난 자마다 세상을 이기느니라 세상을 이긴 이김은 이것이니 우리의 믿음이니라

4  For everything that has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.

4  이는 하나님(엘로힘)께로부터 태어난 자는 누구든지 세상을 이기기 때문이라. 세상을 이기는 승리는 이것이니, 곧 우리의 믿음이라.

5  Who⁵¹⁰¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ he that overcometh³⁵²⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ but¹⁵⁰⁸ he that believeth⁴¹⁰⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ Jesus²⁴²⁴ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God?²³¹⁶

5  예수께서G2424 하나님의G2316 아들이심을 믿는 자가 아니면 세상을 이기는 자가 누구뇨

5  Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

5   예수(야슈아)께서 하나님(엘로힘)의 아들이심을 믿는 자 외에 세상을 이기는 자가 누구냐?

6  This³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ he that came²⁰⁶⁴ by¹²²³ water⁵²⁰⁴ and²⁵³² blood,¹²⁹ even Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ;⁵⁵⁴⁷ not³⁷⁵⁶ by¹⁷²² water⁵²⁰⁴ only,³⁴⁴⁰ but²³⁵ by¹⁷²² water⁵²⁰⁴ and²⁵³² blood.¹²⁹ And²⁵³² it is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ that beareth witness,³¹⁴⁰ because³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ is²⁰⁷⁶ truth.²²⁵

6  이는 물과 피로 임하신 자니 곧 예수G2424 그리스도시라G5547 물로만 아니요 물G5204과 피로G129 임하셨고

6  This is He who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by the water and blood. And the Spirit is He who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.

6    이분은 물과 피로 오신 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악이)시니, 물로만이 아니라 물과 피로니라. 증거하시는G3140 이는G2076  성령G4151이시니G2076, 성령은G415 진리G225이시기 때문이라.

7  For³⁷⁵⁴ there are¹⁵²⁶ three⁵¹⁴⁰ that bear record³¹⁴⁰ in¹⁷²² heaven,³⁷⁷² the³⁵⁸⁸ Father,³⁹⁶² the³⁵⁸⁸ Word,³⁰⁵⁶ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ Holy⁴⁰ Ghost:⁴¹⁵¹ and²⁵³² these³⁷⁷⁸ three⁵¹⁴⁰ are¹⁵²⁶ one.¹⁵²⁰

7  증거하는G3140 이는 성령G4151이시니 성령은G4151 진리G225니라

7  For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one.

7  이는 하늘에서 증거하시는 이가 세 분이시니, 아버지와 말씀과 성령이시요, 이 세 분은 하나이시라.

8  And²⁵³² there are¹⁵²⁶ three⁵¹⁴⁰ that bear witness³¹⁴⁰ in¹⁷²² earth,¹⁰⁹³ the³⁵⁸⁸ spirit,⁴¹⁵¹ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ water,⁵²⁰⁴ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ blood:¹²⁹ and²⁵³² these three⁵¹⁴⁰ agree¹⁵²⁶ in¹⁵¹⁹ one.¹⁵²⁰

8  증거하는 이가 셋이니 성령과 물과 피라 또한 이 셋이 합하여 하나이니라

8  And there are three that bear witness on the earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the three are into the one.

8   또 땅에서 증거하는 것도 셋이니, 영과 물과 피요, 이 셋은 하나 안에서 일치하느니라.

9  If¹⁴⁸⁷ we receive²⁹⁸³ the³⁵⁸⁸ witness³¹⁴¹ of men,⁴⁴⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ witness³¹⁴¹ of God²³¹⁶ is²⁰⁷⁶ greater:³¹⁸⁷ for³⁷⁵⁴ this³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ witness³¹⁴¹ of God²³¹⁶ which³⁷³⁹ he hath testified³¹⁴⁰ of⁴⁰¹² his⁸⁴⁸ Son.⁵²⁰⁷

9  만일 우리가 사람들의 증거를 받을찐대 하나님의G2316 증거는 더욱 크도다 하나님의G2316 증거는 이것이니 그 아들에 관하여 증거하신 것이니라

9  If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater. For this is the witness of God which He has testified about His Son.

9    만일 우리가 사람의 증거를 받아들일진대 하나님(엘로힘)의 증거는 더욱 크나니, 이는 이것이 하나님(엘로힘)께서 자기 아들에 관하여 증거하신 그 분의 증거이기 때문이라.

10  He that believeth⁴¹⁰⁰ on¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God²³¹⁶ hath²¹⁹² the³⁵⁸⁸ witness³¹⁴¹ in¹⁷²² himself:¹⁴³⁸ he that believeth⁴¹⁰⁰ not³³⁶¹ God²³¹⁶ hath made⁴¹⁶⁰ him⁸⁴⁶ a liar;⁵⁵⁸³ because³⁷⁵⁴ he believeth⁴¹⁰⁰ not³⁷⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ record³¹⁴¹ that³⁷³⁹ God²³¹⁶ gave³¹⁴⁰ of⁴⁰¹² his⁸⁴⁸ Son.⁵²⁰⁷

10  하나님의G2316 아들을 믿는 자는 자기 안에 증거가 있고 하나님을G2316 믿지 아니하는 자는 하나님(그분)을 거짓말 하는 자로 만드나니 이는 하나님께서G2316 그 아들에 관하여 증거하신 증거를 믿지 아니하였음이라

10  He who believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself. He who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he does not believe the record that God gave of His Son.

10  하나님(엘로힘)의 아들을 믿는 자는 자기 안에 그 증거가 있고, 하나님(엘로힘)을 믿지 아니하는 자는 하나님(그분)을 거짓말쟁이로 만드나니 이는 하나님(엘로힘)께서 그 아들에 관하여 주신 증거를 믿지 아니하기 때문이라.

11  And²⁵³² this³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ record,³¹⁴¹ that³⁷⁵⁴ God²³¹⁶ hath given¹³²⁵ to us²²⁵⁴ eternal¹⁶⁶ life,²²²² and²⁵³² this³⁷⁷⁸ life²²²² is²⁰⁷⁶ in¹⁷²² his⁸⁴⁸ Son.⁵²⁰⁷

11  또 증거는 이것이니 하나님G2316 이 우리에게 영생을 주신 것과 이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있는 그것이니라

11  And this is the record, that God has given to us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son.

11    또 증거는 이것이니, 하나님(엘로힘)께서 우리에게 영생을 주신 것과, 이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있다는 것이라.

12  He that hath²¹⁹² the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ hath²¹⁹² life:²²²² and he that hath²¹⁹² not³³⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God²³¹⁶ hath²¹⁹² not³⁷⁵⁶ life.²²²²

12  아들이 있는 자에게는 생명이 있고 하나님의G2316 아들이 없는 자에게는 생명이 없느니라

12  He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

12   그 아들이 있는 자는 생명이 있고 하나님(엘로힘)의 아들이 없는 자는 생명이 없느니라.

13  These things⁵⁰²³ have I written¹¹²⁵ unto you⁵²¹³ that believe⁴¹⁰⁰ on¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ name³⁶⁸⁶ of the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God;²³¹⁶ that²⁴⁴³ ye may know¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ ye have²¹⁹² eternal¹⁶⁶ life,²²²² and²⁵³² that²⁴⁴³ ye may believe⁴¹⁰⁰ on¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ name³⁶⁸⁶ of the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God.²³¹⁶

13  내가 하나님의G2316 아들의 이름을 믿는 너희에게 이것을 쓴 것은 너희로 하여금 너희에게 영생이 있음을 알게 하려 함이라

13  I have written these things to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have everlasting life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.

13  내가 하나님(엘로힘)의 아들의 이름을 믿는 너희에게 이런 것들을 씀은 너희에게 영생이 있음을 알게 하려 함이며, 또한 너희가 하나님(엘로힘)의 아들의 이름을 믿도록 하려 함이라.

14  And²⁵³² this³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ confidence³⁹⁵⁴ that³⁷³⁹ we have²¹⁹² in⁴³¹⁴ him,⁸⁴⁶ that,³⁷⁵⁴ if¹⁴³⁷ we ask¹⁵⁴ any thing⁵¹⁰⁰ according²⁵⁹⁶ to his⁸⁴⁸ will,²³⁰⁷ he heareth¹⁹¹ us:²²⁵⁷

14  그를 향하여 우리의 가진 바 담대한 것이 이것이니 그의 뜻대로 무엇을 구하면 들으심이라

14  And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

14  우리가 그의 안에서 가지는 담대함이 이것이니, 그의 뜻대로 무엇이든지 구하면 그가 우리를 들으시는 것이라.

15  And²⁵³² if¹⁴³⁷ we know¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ he hear¹⁹¹ us,²²⁵⁷ whatsoever^{3739, 302} we ask,¹⁵⁴ we know¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ we have²¹⁹² the³⁵⁸⁸ petitions¹⁵⁵ that³⁷³⁹ we desired¹⁵⁴ of³⁸⁴⁴ him.⁸⁴⁶

15  우리가 무엇이든지 구하는 바를 들으시는 줄을 안즉 우리가 그에게 구한 그것을 얻은 줄을 또한 아느니라

15  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

15    우리가 구하는 것은 무엇이나 그가 들으시는 줄을 안다면, 우리가 그에게 구한 요청들을 받은 줄도 아느니라.

16  If¹⁴³⁷ any man⁵¹⁰⁰ see¹⁴⁹² his⁸⁴⁸ brother⁸⁰ sin²⁶⁴ a sin²⁶⁶ which is not³³⁶¹ unto⁴³¹⁴ death,²²⁸⁸ he shall ask,¹⁵⁴ and²⁵³² he shall give¹³²⁵ him⁸⁴⁶ life²²²² for them that sin²⁶⁴ not³³⁶¹ unto⁴³¹⁴ death.²²⁸⁸ There is²⁰⁷⁶ a sin²⁶⁶ unto⁴³¹⁴ death:²²⁸⁸ I do not³⁷⁵⁶ say³⁰⁰⁴ that²⁴⁴³ he shall pray²⁰⁶⁵ for⁴⁰¹² it.¹⁵⁶⁵

16  누구든지 형제가 사망에 이르지 아니한 죄 범하는 것을 보거든 구하라 그러면 사망에 이르지 아니하는 범죄자들을 위하여 저에게 생명을 주시리라 사망에 이르는 죄가 있으니 이에 대하여 나는 구하라 하지 않노라

16  If anyone sees his brother sin a sin not to death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for those that do not sin to death. There is a sin to death, I do not say that he shall pray for it.

16  누구든지 자기 형제가 사망에 이르지 아니하는 죄 짓는 것을 보거든 간구할지니, 그러면 하나님(엘로힘)께서 사망에 이르는 죄를 짓지 아니하는 자들을 위하여 그에게 생명을 주시리라. 사망에 이르는 죄가 있거니와, 나는 그에게 그 죄를 위해 기도하라고 말하지 아니하노라.

17  All³⁹⁵⁶ unrighteousness⁹³ is²⁰⁷⁶ sin:²⁶⁶ and²⁵³² there is²⁰⁷⁶ a sin²⁶⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ unto⁴³¹⁴ death.²²⁸⁸

17  모든 불의가 죄로되 사망에 이르지 아니하는 죄도 있도다

17  All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not to death.

17  모든 불의가 죄이나, 사망에 이르지 아니하는 죄도 있느니라.

18  We know¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ whosoever³⁹⁵⁶ is born¹⁰⁸⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ God²³¹⁶ sinneth²⁶⁴ not;³⁷⁵⁶ but²³⁵ he that is begotten¹⁰⁸⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ God²³¹⁶ keepeth⁵⁰⁸³ himself,¹⁴³⁸ and²⁵³² that wicked one⁴¹⁹⁰ toucheth⁶⁸⁰ him⁸⁴⁶ not.³⁷⁵⁶

18  하나님께G2316 로서 난 자마다 범죄치 아니하는 줄을 우리가 아노라 하나님께G2316 로서 나신 자가 저를 지키시매 악한 자가 저를 만지지도 못하느니라

18  We know that everyone who has been born of God does not continue to sin, but the one born of God guards himself, and the evil one does not touch him.

18   하나님(엘로힘)께로부터 태어난 사람은 누구나 죄를 짓지 아니하는 줄을 우리가 아노라. 오히려 하나님(엘로힘)께로부터 태어난 자는 자신을 지키나니, 악한 자가 그를 건드리지 못하느니라.

19  And we know¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ we are²⁰⁷⁰ of¹⁵³⁷ God,²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ whole³⁶⁵⁰ world²⁸⁸⁹ lieth²⁷⁴⁹ in¹⁷²² wickedness.⁴¹⁹⁰

19  또 아는 것은 우리는 하나님께G2316 속하고 온 세상은 악한 자 안에 처한 것이며

19  We know that we are of God, and all the world lies in evil.

19   우리가 아는 것은 우리는 하나님(엘로힘)께 속해 있으며, 온 세상은 악함 속에 놓여 있다는 것이라.

20  And¹¹⁶¹ we know¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ of God²³¹⁶ is come,²²⁴⁰ and²⁵³² hath given¹³²⁵ us²²⁵⁴ an understanding,¹²⁷¹ that²⁴⁴³ we may know¹⁰⁹⁷ him that is true,²²⁸ and²⁵³² we are²⁰⁷⁰ in¹⁷²² him that is true,²²⁸ even in¹⁷²² his⁸⁴⁸ Son⁵²⁰⁷ Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ.⁵⁵⁴⁷ This³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ true²²⁸ God,²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² eternal¹⁶⁶ life.²²²²

20  또 아는 것은 하나님의G2316 아들이 이르러 우리에게 지각을 주사 우리로 참된 자를 알게 하신 것과 또한 우리가 참된 자 곧 그의 아들 예수G2424 그리스도G5547 안에 있는 것이니 그는 참 하나님G5547이시요 영생이시라

20  And we know that the Son of God has come, and He has given us an understanding so that we may know Him who is true. And we are in Him that is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and the everlasting life.

20  또 우리가 아는 것은 하나님(엘로힘)의 아들이 오셔서 우리에게 지각을 주셨다는 것이니, 이는 우리로 참되신 그분을 알게 하려는 것이라. 우리는 참되신 그분, 곧 그분의 아들 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악) 안에 있노라. 이분은 참 하나님(엘로힘)이시며 영원한 생명이시니라.

21  Little children,⁵⁰⁴⁰ keep⁵⁴⁴² yourselves¹⁴³⁸ from⁵⁷⁵ idols.¹⁴⁹⁷ Amen.²⁸¹

21  자녀들아 너희 자신을 지켜 우상에서 멀리하라

21  Little children, guard yourselves from idols. Amen.

21  어린 자녀들아, 너희 자신을 우상들로부터 지키라. 아멘.
