1  Simon⁴⁸²⁶ Peter,⁴⁰⁷⁴ a servant¹⁴⁰¹ and²⁵³² an apostle⁶⁵² of Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ to them that have obtained²⁹⁷⁵ like precious²⁴⁷² faith⁴¹⁰² with us²²⁵⁴ through¹⁷²² the righteousness¹³⁴³ of God²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² our²²⁵⁷ Savior⁴⁹⁹⁰ Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ:⁵⁵⁴⁷

1  Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of our God and our Savior Jesus Christ,

1  예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)의 종이요 사도인 시몬 베드로는 하나님(엘로힘)과 우리 구주 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)의 의로 말미암아 우리와 함께 동일하게 보배로운 믿음을 받은 사람들에게 편지하노니,

2  Grace⁵⁴⁸⁵ and²⁵³² peace¹⁵¹⁵ be multiplied⁴¹²⁹ unto you⁵²¹³ through¹⁷²² the knowledge¹⁹²² of God,²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² of Jesus²⁴²⁴ our²²⁵⁷ Lord,²⁹⁶²

2  하나님G2316과 우리 주G2962 예수를G2424 앎으로 은혜와 평강이 너희에게 더욱 많을찌어다

2  Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

2  하나님(엘로힘)과 우리 주(아도나이H136) 예수(야슈아)를 아는 지식을 통해 너희에게 은혜와 평강이 더욱 많아지기를 바라노라.

3  According as⁵⁶¹³ his⁸⁴⁶ divine²³⁰⁴ power¹⁴¹¹ hath given¹⁴³³ unto us²²⁵⁴ all things³⁹⁵⁶ that³⁵⁸⁸ pertain unto⁴³¹⁴ life²²²² and²⁵³² godliness,²¹⁵⁰ through¹²²³ the³⁵⁸⁸ knowledge¹⁹²² of him that hath called²⁵⁶⁴ us²²⁴⁸ to¹²²³ glory¹³⁹¹ and²⁵³² virtue:⁷⁰³

3  그의 신기한G2304 능력으로 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으니 이는 자기의 영광과 덕으로써 우리를 부르신 자를 앎으로 말미암음이라

3  according as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who has called us to glory and virtue,

3  그의 신성의G2304 능력이 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주심에 따라 그에 관한 지식으로 말미암아 우리를 영광과 덕에 이르도록 부르셨으니

4  Whereby^{1223, 3739} are given¹⁴³³ unto us²²⁵⁴ exceeding great³¹⁷⁶ and²⁵³² precious⁵⁰⁹³ promises:¹⁸⁶² that²⁴⁴³ by¹²²³ these⁵¹³⁰ ye might be¹⁰⁹⁶ partakers²⁸⁴⁴ of the divine²³⁰⁴ nature,⁵⁴⁴⁹ having escaped⁶⁶⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ corruption⁵³⁵⁶ that is in¹⁷²² the world²⁸⁸⁹ through¹⁷²² lust.¹⁹³⁹

4  이로써 그 보배롭고 지극히 큰 약속을 우리에게 주사 이 약속으로 말미암아 너희로 정욕을 인하여 세상에서 썩어질 것을 피하여 신의G2304 성품에G5449 참예하는 자가G2844 되게 하려 하셨으니

4  through which He has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

4   이로써 우리에게 지극히 크고 귀한 약속들을 주심은 너희로 하여금 이 약속들을 통해서 정욕으로 인해 세상에 있게 된 타락을 피하여 하나님(신성G2304)의 본성에 동참하는 자가 되게 하려 하심이라.

5  And¹¹⁶¹ beside this,^{846, 5124 (2532)} giving³⁹²³ all³⁹⁵⁶ diligence,⁴⁷¹⁰ add²⁰²³ to¹⁷²² your⁵²¹⁶ faith⁴¹⁰² virtue;⁷⁰³ and¹¹⁶¹ to¹⁷²² virtue⁷⁰³ knowledge;¹¹⁰⁸

5  "이러므로 너희가 더욱 힘써 너희 믿음에 덕을 덕에 지식을,"

5  But also in this very thing, bringing in all diligence, filling out your faith with virtue, and with virtue, knowledge;

5   이뿐만 아니라 너희가 더욱 전심전력하여 너희의 믿음에 덕을, 덕에 지식을

6  And¹¹⁶¹ to¹⁷²² knowledge¹¹⁰⁸ temperance;¹⁴⁶⁶ and¹¹⁶¹ to¹⁷²² temperance¹⁴⁶⁶ patience;⁵²⁸¹ and¹¹⁶¹ to¹⁷²² patience⁵²⁸¹ godliness;²¹⁵⁰

6  "지식에 절제를 절제에 인내를, 인내에 경건을,"

6  and with knowledge self-control, and with self-control, patience, and with patience, godliness,

7  "경건에 형제 우애를, 형제 우애에 사랑을 공급하라"

7  and with godliness, brotherly kindness, and with brotherly kindness, love.

8  For¹⁰⁶³ if these things⁵⁰²³ be⁵²²⁵ in you,⁵²¹³ and²⁵³² abound,⁴¹²¹ they make²⁵²⁵ you that ye shall neither³⁷⁵⁶ be barren⁶⁹² nor³⁷⁶¹ unfruitful¹⁷⁵ in¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ knowledge¹⁹²² of our²²⁵⁷ Lord²⁹⁶² Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ.⁵⁵⁴⁷

8  이런 것이 너희에게 있어 흡족한즉 너희로 우리 주G2962 예수G2424 그리스도를G5547 알기에 게으르지 않고 열매 없는 자가 되지 않게 하려니와

8  For if these things are in you and abound, they make you to be neither idle nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

8  이런 것들이 너희 안에 있어 풍성해지면 그것들이 너희로 우리 주(아도나이) 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)에 대한 지식에 관한 한 게으르거나 열매 없는 자가 되지 않게 할 것이라.

9  But¹⁰⁶³ he³⁷³⁹ that lacketh^{3918, 3361} these things⁵⁰²³ is²⁰⁷⁶ blind,⁵¹⁸⁵ and cannot see afar off,³⁴⁶⁷ and hath forgotten^{2983, 3024} that he was purged²⁵¹² from his⁸⁴⁸ old³⁸¹⁹ sins.²⁶⁶

9  이런 것이 없는 자는 소경이라 원시치 못하고 그의 옛 죄를 깨끗케 하심을 잊었느니라

9  For he in whom these things are not present is blind and cannot see afar off and has forgotten that he was purged from his sins in the past.

9   그러나 이런 것들이 결여되어 있는 자는 눈멀고 멀리 볼 수 없으며 자신이 옛 죄들에서 깨끗하게 된 것을 잊은 것이라.

10  Wherefore¹³⁵² the rather,³¹²³ brethren,⁸⁰ give diligence⁴⁷⁰⁴ to make⁴¹⁶⁰ your⁵²¹⁶ calling²⁸²¹ and²⁵³² election¹⁵⁸⁹ sure:⁹⁴⁹ for¹⁰⁶³ if ye do⁴¹⁶⁰ these things,⁵⁰²³ ye shall never^{3364, 4218} fall:⁴⁴¹⁷

10  그러므로 형제들아 더욱 힘써 너희 부르심과 택하심을 굳게 하라 너희가 이것을 행한즉 언제든지 실족지 아니하리라

10  Therefore, brothers, rather be diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things, you shall never fall.

10 그러므로 형제들아, 오히려 더욱 힘써서 너희의 부르심과 택하심을 확고히 하라. 너희가 이러한 것들을 하면 결코 실족하지 않을 것이요

11  For¹⁰⁶³ so³⁷⁷⁹ an entrance¹⁵²⁹ shall be ministered unto²⁰²³ you⁵²¹³ abundantly⁴¹⁴⁶ into¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ everlasting¹⁶⁶ kingdom⁹³² of our²²⁵⁷ Lord²⁹⁶² and²⁵³² Savior⁴⁹⁹⁰ Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ.⁵⁵⁴⁷

11  이같이 하면 우리 주G2962 곧 구주 예수G2424 그리스도의G5547 영원한 나라에 들어감을 넉넉히 너희에게 주시리라

11  For so an entrance shall be ministered to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

11  이같이 하면 우리 주(아도나이)요 구주이신 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)의 영원한 왕국에 들어가는 입구가 너희에게 풍성하게 마련될 것이니라.

12  Wherefore¹³⁵² I will not³⁷⁵⁶ be negligent²⁷² to put you always in remembrance^{5279, 5209, 104} of⁴⁰¹² these things,⁵¹³⁰ though²⁵³⁹ ye know¹⁴⁹² them, and²⁵³² be established⁴⁷⁴¹ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ present³⁹¹⁸ truth.²²⁵

12  이러므로 너희가 이것을 알고 이미 있는 진리에 섰으나 내가 항상 너희로 생각하게 하려 하노라

12  Therefore I will not neglect to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them and are established in the present truth.

12   이러므로 너희가 이런 것들을 알고 현재의 진리에 굳게 서 있지만 나는 항상 너희로 이런 일들을 기억하게 하는 데 소홀히 하지 아니하겠노라.

13  Yea,¹¹⁶¹ I think²²³³ it meet,¹³⁴² as long as^{1909, 3745} I am¹⁵¹⁰ in¹⁷²² this⁵¹²⁹ tabernacle,⁴⁶³⁸ to stir you up^{1326, 5209} by putting you in remembrance;^{1722, 5280}

13  내가 이 장막에 있을 동안에 너희를 일깨워 생각하게 함이 옳은줄로 여기노니

13  But I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by a reminder,

13  그렇도다. 내가 이 장막에 있을 동안에 너희를 각성시켜 기억하게 함이 옳은 줄로 여기나니

14  Knowing¹⁴⁹² that³⁷⁵⁴ shortly⁵⁰³¹ I must²⁰⁷⁶ put off⁵⁹⁵ this my³⁴⁵⁰ tabernacle,⁴⁶³⁸ even²⁵³² as²⁵³¹ our²²⁵⁷ Lord²⁹⁶² Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ hath showed¹²¹³ me.³⁴²⁷

14  이는 우리 주G2962 예수G2424 그리스도께서G5547 내게 지시하신 것같이 나도 이 장막을 벗어날 것이 임박한 줄을 앎이라

14  knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is soon, as indeed our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me.

14  이는 우리 주(아도나이) 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)께서 내게 보여 주신 것같이 나도 나의 장막을 벗어날 때가 임박했음을 앎이라.

15  Moreover¹¹⁶¹ I will endeavor⁴⁷⁰⁴ that⁽²⁵³²⁾ ye⁵²⁰⁹ may be able after³³²⁶ my¹⁶⁹⁹ decease¹⁸⁴¹ to have²¹⁹² these things⁵¹³⁰ always¹⁵³⁹ in remembrance.^{4160, 3420}

15  내가 힘써 너희로 하여금 나의 떠난 후에라도 필요할 때는 이런 것을 생각나게 하려 하노라

15  And I will also be diligent to cause you to always have memory of these things after my departure.

15   또한 내가 떠난 후에라도 너희가 이러한 것들을 항상 기억할 수 있도록 내가 힘쓰겠노니

16  For¹⁰⁶³ we have not³⁷⁵⁶ followed¹⁸¹¹ cunningly devised⁴⁶⁷⁹ fables,³⁴⁵⁴ when we made known¹¹⁰⁷ unto you⁵²¹³ the³⁵⁸⁸ power¹⁴¹¹ and²⁵³² coming³⁹⁵² of our²²⁵⁷ Lord²⁹⁶² Jesus²⁴²⁴ Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ but²³⁵ were¹⁰⁹⁶ eyewitnesses²⁰³⁰ of his¹⁵⁶⁵ majesty.³¹⁶⁸

16  우리 주G2962 예수G2424 그리스도의G5547 능력과 강림하심을 너희에게 알게 한것이 공교히 만든 이야기를 좇은 것이 아니요 우리는 그의 크신 위엄을 친히 본 자라

16  For not having followed fables having been cunningly devised, but becoming eyewitnesses of the majesty of Jesus Christ, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord.

16  이는 우리가 우리 주(아도나이) 예수(야슈아) 그리스도(하 마쉬악)의 능력과 오심을 너희에게 알게 한 것은 교묘하게 꾸며낸 이야기를 좇은 것이 아니라 그의 위엄의 목격자들이었기 때문이라.

17  For¹⁰⁶³ he received²⁹⁸³ from³⁸⁴⁴ God²³¹⁶ the Father³⁹⁶² honor⁵⁰⁹² and²⁵³² glory,¹³⁹¹ when there came⁵³⁴² such⁵¹⁰⁷ a voice⁵⁴⁵⁶ to him⁸⁴⁶ from⁵²⁵⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ excellent³¹⁶⁹ glory,¹³⁹¹ This³⁷⁷⁸ is²⁰⁷⁶ my³⁴⁵⁰ beloved²⁷ Son,⁵²⁰⁷ in¹⁵¹⁹ whom³⁷³⁹ I¹⁴⁷³ am well pleased.²¹⁰⁶

17  지극히 큰 영광 중에서 이러한 소리가 그에게 나기를 이는 내 사랑하는 아들이요 내 기뻐하는 자라 하실 때에 저가 하나님G2316 아버지께 존귀와 영광을 받으셨느니라

17  For He received honor and glory from God the Father, when was borne to Him a voice from the excellent glory, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

17  지극히 큰 영광으로부터 이러한 음성이 그에게 들려오기를 "이는 내 사랑하는 아들이요, 그 안에서 내가 기뻐하노라." 하실 때에 그가 하나님(야훼) 아버지로부터 존귀와 영광을 받으셨느니라.

18  And²⁵³² this⁵⁰²⁶ voice⁵⁴⁵⁶ which came⁵³⁴² from¹⁵³⁷ heaven³⁷⁷² we²²⁴⁹ heard,¹⁹¹ when we were⁵⁶⁰⁷ with⁴⁸⁶² him⁸⁴⁶ in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ holy⁴⁰ mount.³⁷³⁵

18  이 소리는 우리가 저와 함께 거룩한 산에 있을 때에 하늘로서 나옴을 들은 것이라

18  And we heard this voice being borne from Heaven, being with Him in the holy mountain.

18  이 음성은 우리가 그와 함께 거룩한 산에 있을 때 하늘에서 나온 것을 들은 것이라.

19  We have²¹⁹² also²⁵³² a more sure⁹⁴⁹ word³⁰⁵⁶ of prophecy;⁴³⁹⁷ whereunto³⁷³⁹ ye do⁴¹⁶⁰ well²⁵⁷³ that ye take heed,⁴³³⁷ as⁵⁶¹³ unto a light³⁰⁸⁸ that shineth⁵³¹⁶ in¹⁷²² a dark⁸⁵⁰ place,⁵¹¹⁷ until^{2193, 3757} the day²²⁵⁰ dawn,¹³⁰⁶ and²⁵³² the day star⁵⁴⁵⁹ arise³⁹³ in¹⁷²² your⁵²¹⁶ hearts:²⁵⁸⁸

19  또 우리에게 더 확실한 예언이 있어 어두운데 비취는 등불과 같으니 날이 새어 샛별이 너희 마음에 떠오르기까지 너희가 이것을 주의하는 것이 가하니라

19  We also have a more sure Word of prophecy, to which you do well to take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Daystar arises in your hearts,

19   우리에게 더 확실한 예언의 말씀이 있어 어두운 곳을 비추는 등불과 같으니 날이 새어 샛별이 너희 마음에 떠오르기까지 너희가 이 예언의 말씀을 주의하는 것이 잘하는 것이니라.

20  Knowing¹⁰⁹⁷ this⁵¹²⁴ first,⁴⁴¹² that³⁷⁵⁴ no^{3956, 3756} prophecy⁴³⁹⁴ of the Scripture¹¹²⁴ is¹⁰⁹⁶ of any private²³⁹⁸ interpretation.¹⁹⁵⁵

20  먼저 알 것은 경의 모든 예언은 사사로이G2398 풀 것이G1955  아니니

20  knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture came into being of its own private interpretation.

20   먼저 이것을 알지니, 성경의 어떤 예언도 사사로이 해석할 것이 아니니,

21  For¹⁰⁶³ the prophecy⁴³⁹⁴ came⁵³⁴² not³⁷⁵⁶ in old time⁴²¹⁸ by the will²³⁰⁷ of man:⁴⁴⁴ but²³⁵ holy⁴⁰ men⁴⁴⁴ of God²³¹⁶ spake²⁹⁸⁰ as they were moved⁵³⁴² by⁵²⁵⁹ the Holy⁴⁰ Ghost.⁴¹⁵¹

21  예언은 언제든지 사람의 뜻으로 낸 것이 아니요 오직 성G40령G4151의 감동하심을 입은G5342 사람들이 하나님께G2316 받아 말한 것임이니라

21  For prophecy was not borne at any time by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke being borne along by the Holy Spirit.

21  예언은 예전에 사람의 뜻에서 나온 것이 아니요 오직 하나님(야훼)의 거룩한 사람들이 성령으로 감동을 받아 말한 것이니라.
