1  What⁵¹⁰¹ shall we say²⁰⁴⁶ then³⁷⁶⁷ that Abraham¹¹ our²²⁵⁷ father,³⁹⁶² as pertaining²⁵⁹⁶ to the flesh,⁴⁵⁶¹ hath found?²¹⁴⁷

1 그런즉(thenG3767) 육신으로(to the fleshG4561) 우리(ourG2257) 조상된( fatherG3962) 아브라함이(that AbrahamG11) 무엇을(WhatG5101) 얻었다(hath foundG2147) 하리요( shall we sayG2046)

1  What then shall we say that our father Abraham has found, according to flesh?

1  그러면 우리의 조상 아브라함이 육신에 관하여 무엇을 얻었다고 말할 수 있으리요?

2  For¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ Abraham¹¹ were justified¹³⁴⁴ by¹⁵³⁷ works,²⁰⁴¹ he hath²¹⁹² whereof to glory;²⁷⁴⁵ but²³⁵ not³⁷⁵⁶ before⁴³¹⁴ God.²³¹⁶

2 만일(ifG1487) 아브라함이 행위(worksG2041)로써(byG1537) 의롭다 하심을 얻었으(were justifiedG1344)면(ifG1487) 자랑할 것이 있으려니와 하나님G2316 앞에서는 없느니라

2  For if Abraham was justified by works, he has a boast; but not before God.

2  만일 아브라함이 행위로써 의롭게 되었다면 그에게 자랑할 것이 있겠지만 엘로힘(하나님) 앞에서는 없느니라.

3  For¹⁰⁶³ what⁵¹⁰¹ saith³⁰⁰⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Scripture?^{1124 (1161)} Abraham¹¹ believed⁴¹⁰⁰ God,²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² it was counted³⁰⁴⁹ unto him⁸⁴⁶ for¹⁵¹⁹ righteousness.¹³⁴³

3  성경이G1124, G1161 무엇을 말하느뇨 아브라함이 하나님을G2316 믿으매 이것이 저에게 의로 여기신바 되었느니라

3  For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness."

3  성경이 무엇이라고 말하고 있느냐? 아브라함이 야훼를(하나님을 / 성경: 창_15:6 참조) 믿었더니 그것이 그에게 의로 여겨졌느니라.

여겨졌느니라: 창_15:6; 롬_4:5, 롬_4:9, 롬_4:11, 롬_4:22-25; 시_106:31

4  Now¹¹⁶¹ to him that worketh²⁰³⁸ is the³⁵⁸⁸ reward³⁴⁰⁸ not³⁷⁵⁶ reckoned³⁰⁴⁹ of²⁵⁹⁶ grace,⁵⁴⁸⁵ but²³⁵ of²⁵⁹⁶ debt.³⁷⁸³

4  일하는 자에게는 그 삯을(rewardG3408) 은혜G5485로 여기지 아니하고 빚G3783으로 여기거니와

4  But to him working, the reward is not reckoned according to grace, but according to debt.

4  이제 일하는 사람에게는 그 보수가 은혜로 여겨지지 않고 빚으로 여겨지지만,

5  But¹¹⁶¹ to him that worketh²⁰³⁸ not,³³⁶¹ but¹¹⁶¹ believeth⁴¹⁰⁰ on¹⁹⁰⁹ him that justifieth¹³⁴⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ ungodly,⁷⁶⁵ his⁸⁴⁸ faith⁴¹⁰² is counted³⁰⁴⁹ for¹⁵¹⁹ righteousness.¹³⁴³

5  일을 아니할지라도 경건치 아니한 자를(ungodlyG765) 의롭다 하시는 이를 믿는 자에게는 그의 믿음을G4102 의로 여기시나니

5  But to him not working, but believing on Him justifying the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

5  행함이 없어도 불경건한 자를 의롭다 하시는 그분을 믿는 사람에게는 그의 믿음이 의로 여겨지느니라.

6  Even as²⁵⁰⁹ David¹¹³⁸ also²⁵³² describeth³⁰⁰⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ blessedness³¹⁰⁸ of the³⁵⁸⁸ man,⁴⁴⁴ unto whom³⁷³⁹ God²³¹⁶ imputeth³⁰⁴⁹ righteousness¹³⁴³ without⁵⁵⁶⁵ works,²⁰⁴¹

6  일한 것이 없이 하나님께G2316 의로 여기심을 받는 사람의 행복에 대하여G3108 다윗의 말한바

6  Even as David also says of the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness without works,

6 행함이 없어도 엘로힘(하나님)께서 의롭다고 여기시는 사람의 복에 관하여 다윗도 말하였으니

7  Saying, Blessed³¹⁰⁷ are they whose³⁷³⁹ iniquities⁴⁵⁸ are forgiven,⁸⁶³ and²⁵³² whose³⁷³⁹ sins²⁶⁶ are covered.¹⁹⁴³

7  그 불법을( iniquitiesG458) 사하심을 받고 그 죄를 가리우심을 받는 자는 복이 있고 G3107

7  saying, "Blessed are those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven, and whose sins are covered;

7  말하기를 "죄악들이 용서받고 죄들이 가려진 사람들은 복이 있고

8  Blessed³¹⁰⁷ is the man⁴³⁵ to whom³⁷³⁹ the Lord²⁹⁶² will not³³⁶⁴ impute³⁰⁴⁹ sin.²⁶⁶

8  주께서(the LordG2962) 그 죄를 인정치 아니하실 사람은 복이 있도다 함과 같으니라

8  blessed is the man to whom the Lord will in no way impute sin."

8  야훼(주 / 성경: 시_32:1-2 참조 )께서 죄를 인정하지 아니하실 사람은 복이 있도다."라고 하였느니라.

9  Cometh this³⁷⁷⁸ blessedness³¹⁰⁸ then³⁷⁶⁷ upon¹⁹⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ circumcision⁴⁰⁶¹ only, or²²²⁸ upon¹⁹⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ uncircumcision²⁰³ also?²⁵³² for¹⁰⁶³ we say³⁰⁰⁴ that³⁷⁵⁴ faith⁴¹⁰² was reckoned³⁰⁴⁹ to Abraham¹¹ for¹⁵¹⁹ righteousness.¹³⁴³

9  그런즉 이 행복이 할례자에게뇨 혹 무할례자에게도뇨 대저 우리가 말하기를 아브라함에게는 그 믿음을 의로 여기셨다 하노라

9  Is this blessedness then on the circumcision only, or on the uncircumcision also? For we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

9  그러면 이러한 복이 할례자에게만이냐, 아니면 무할례자에게도냐? 이는 우리가 말하기를 "아브라함에게는 믿음이 의로 여겨졌노라."고 했음이라.

10  How⁴⁴⁵⁹ was it then³⁷⁶⁷ reckoned?³⁰⁴⁹ when he was⁵⁶⁰⁷ in¹⁷²² circumcision,⁴⁰⁶¹ or²²²⁸ in¹⁷²² uncircumcision?²⁰³ Not³⁷⁵⁶ in¹⁷²² circumcision,⁴⁰⁶¹ but²³⁵ in¹⁷²² uncircumcision.²⁰³

10  그런즉 이를 어떻게 여기셨느뇨 할례시냐 무할례시냐 할례시가 아니라 무할례시니라

10  How then was it reckoned? Being in circumcision or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

10  그렇다면 그것이 어떻게 여겨졌느냐? 그가 할례 때였느냐, 아니면 무할례 때였느냐? 할례 때가 아니라 무할례 때였느니라.

11  And²⁵³² he received²⁹⁸³ the sign⁴⁵⁹² of circumcision,⁴⁰⁶¹ a seal⁴⁹⁷³ of the³⁵⁸⁸ righteousness¹³⁴³ of the³⁵⁸⁸ faith⁴¹⁰² which³⁵⁸⁸ he had yet being uncircumcised: that^{1722, 203} he⁸⁴⁶ might be¹⁵¹¹ the father³⁹⁶² of all³⁹⁵⁶ them that believe,⁴¹⁰⁰ though they be not circumcised;^{1223, 203} that righteousness¹³⁴³ might be imputed³⁰⁴⁹ unto them⁸⁴⁶ also:²⁵³²

11  저가 할례의 표를(the signG4592) 받은 것은 무할례시에 믿음으로 된 의를 인친 것이니( a sealG4973) 이는 무할례자로서 믿는 모든 자의 조상이 되어 저희로 의로 여기심을 얻게 하려 하심이라

11  And he received a sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith while still uncircumcised; so that he might be the father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be imputed to them also;

11  그가 할례의 표적을 받은 것은 무할례 때에 믿음으로 된 의를 인친 것이니, 이는 할례를 받지 아니하고서 믿는 모든 자의 아비가 되게 하려 함이요, 그들도 의롭게 여김을 받게 하려 함이며,

12  And²⁵³² the father³⁹⁶² of circumcision⁴⁰⁶¹ to them³⁵⁸⁸ who are not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ the circumcision⁴⁰⁶¹ only,³⁴⁴⁰ but²³⁵ who also walk^{4748, 2532} in the³⁵⁸⁸ steps²⁴⁸⁷ of that faith⁴¹⁰² of our²²⁵⁷ father³⁹⁶² Abraham,¹¹ which he had being yet uncircumcised.^{1722, 203}

12  또한 할례자의 조상이 되었나니 곧 할례 받을 자에게 뿐아니라 우리 조상 아브라함의 무할례시에 가졌던 믿음의 자취를 좇는 자들에게도니라

12  and a father of circumcision to those not of the circumcision only, but also to those walking by the steps of the faith of our father Abraham during uncircumcision.

12  또 할례자의 아비이니, 할례받은 자들뿐만 아니라 우리의 아비 아브라함이 할례를 받지 아니하였을 때 가진 믿음의 발자취를 밟는 자들에게도니라.

13  For¹⁰⁶³ the³⁵⁸⁸ promise,¹⁸⁶⁰ that he⁸⁴⁶ should be¹⁵¹¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ heir²⁸¹⁸ of the³⁵⁸⁸ world,²⁸⁸⁹ was not³⁷⁵⁶ to Abraham,¹¹ or²²²⁸ to his⁸⁴⁸ seed,⁴⁶⁹⁰ through¹²²³ the law,³⁵⁵¹ but²³⁵ through¹²²³ the righteousness¹³⁴³ of faith.⁴¹⁰²

13  아브라함이나 그 후손에게 세상(worldG2889)의 후사가(heirG2818) 되리라고 하신 언약은(promiseG1860) 율법( the lawG3551)으로 말미암은 것이 아니요 오직 믿음의(of faithG4102) 의로 말미암은 것이니라

13  For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith.

13 아브라함이 세상의 상속자가 되리라고 하신 약속은 아브라함이나 그의 씨에게 율법을 통하여 하신 것이 아니요, 믿음의 의를 통하여 하신 것이니라.

14  For¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ they³⁵⁸⁸ which are of¹⁵³⁷ the law³⁵⁵¹ be heirs,²⁸¹⁸ faith⁴¹⁰² is made void,²⁷⁵⁸ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ promise¹⁸⁶⁰ made of none effect:²⁶⁷³

14  만일 율법에 속한 자들이 후사이면 믿음은 헛것이 되고 약속은 폐하여졌느니라2673

14  For if they of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is made of no effect;

14  만일 율법에 속한 자들이 상속자라면 믿음은 헛되고 그 약속은 무효가 되느니라.

무효가 되느니라:  롬_3:31; 민_30:12, 민_30:15; 시_119:126; 사_55:11; 렘_19:7

15  Because¹⁰⁶³ the³⁵⁸⁸ law³⁵⁵¹ worketh²⁷¹⁶ wrath:³⁷⁰⁹ for¹⁰⁶³ where³⁷⁵⁷ no³⁷⁵⁶ law³⁵⁵¹ is,²⁰⁷⁶ there is no³⁷⁶¹ transgression.³⁸⁴⁷

15  율법은 진노를(wrathG3709) 이루게 하나니 율법이 없는 곳에는 범함(transgressionG3847)도 없느니라

15  because the Law works out wrath, for where no law is, there is no transgression.

15 율법은 진노를 일으키나니 율법이 없는 곳에는 범법도 없느니라.

없는 곳에는:  롬_2:12, 롬_2:13, 롬_5:13

16  Therefore^{1223, 5124} it is of¹⁵³⁷ faith,⁴¹⁰² that²⁴⁴³ it might be by²⁵⁹⁶ grace;⁵⁴⁸⁵ to the end the³⁵⁸⁸ promise¹⁸⁶⁰ might be¹⁵¹¹ sure⁹⁴⁹ to all³⁹⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ seed;⁴⁶⁹⁰ not³⁷⁵⁶ to that³⁵⁸⁸ only³⁴⁴⁰ which is of¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ law,³⁵⁵¹ but²³⁵ to that³⁵⁸⁸ also²⁵³² which is of¹⁵³⁷ the faith⁴¹⁰² of Abraham;¹¹ who³⁷³⁹ is²⁰⁷⁶ the father³⁹⁶² of us²²⁵⁷ all,³⁹⁵⁶

16  그러므로 후사가 되는 이것이 은혜에 속하기 위하여 믿음으로 되나니 이는 그 약속을(promiseG1860) 그 모든 후손에게 굳게 하려 하심이라 율법에G3551 속한 자에게 뿐아니라 아브라함의 믿음에G4102 속한 자에게도니 아브라함은 하나님 앞에서 우리 모든 사람의 조상이라

16  Therefore it is of faith so that it might be according to grace; for the promise to be made sure to all the seed, not only to that which is of the Law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

16 그러므로 상속자가 되는 것이 은혜를 따라 되기 위해서는 믿음으로 되거니와 마침내 그 약속을 모든 씨에게 확고히 하려 함이며, 율법에 속한 자들뿐만 아니라 아브라함의 믿음에 속한 자들에게도니라. 그는 우리 모두의 아비라.

17  (As²⁵³¹ it is written,¹¹²⁵ I have made⁵⁰⁸⁷ thee⁴⁵⁷¹ a father³⁹⁶² of many⁴¹⁸³ nations,)¹⁴⁸⁴ before²⁷¹³ him whom³⁷³⁹ he believed,⁴¹⁰⁰ even God,²³¹⁶ who quickeneth²²²⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ dead,³⁴⁹⁸ and²⁵³² calleth²⁵⁶⁴ those things which be⁵⁶⁰⁷ not³³⁶¹ as though⁵⁶¹³ they were.⁵⁶⁰⁷

17  기록된바G1125  내가 너를 많은 민족의 조상으로 세웠다 하심과 같으니 그의 믿은바 하나님은G2316 죽은 자를 살리시며(who quickenethG2227) 없는 것을 있는 것 같이 부르시는 이시니라

17  (as it has been written, "I have made you a father of many nations") --before God, whom he believed, who makes the dead live, and calls the things which do not exist as though they do exist.

17  (기록된 바와 같이 "내가 너를 많은 민족들의 아비가 되게 하였노라." 하였으니,) 그가 믿은 야훼(하나님), 곧 죽은 자들을 살리시며 없는 것을 있는 것처럼 부르시는 그 분 앞에서니라.

18  Who³⁷³⁹ against³⁸⁴⁴ hope¹⁶⁸⁰ believed⁴¹⁰⁰ in¹⁹⁰⁹ hope,¹⁶⁸⁰ that he⁸⁴⁶ might become¹⁰⁹⁶ the father³⁹⁶² of many⁴¹⁸³ nations,¹⁴⁸⁴ according²⁵⁹⁶ to that which was spoken,²⁰⁴⁶ So³⁷⁷⁹ shall thy⁴⁶⁷⁵ seed⁴⁶⁹⁰ be.²⁰⁷¹

18  아브라함이 바랄 수 없는 중에 바라고 믿었으니 이는 네 후손이 이같으리라 하신 말씀대로 많은 민족( nationsG1484)의 조상이 되게 하려 하심을 인함이라

18  For he who beyond hope believed on hope for him to become the father of many nations (according to that which was spoken, "So your seed shall be").

18  그가 소망이 없는데도 소망 가운데서 믿었으니 "네 씨가 그렇게 되리라."고 말씀하신 대로 많은 민족들의 아비가 되게 하려 하심이라.

말씀하신 대로 :  창_15:5, 창_15:6

19  And²⁵³² being not weak^{770, 3361} in faith,⁴¹⁰² he considered²⁶⁵⁷ not³⁷⁵⁶ his own¹⁴³⁸ body⁴⁹⁸³ now²²³⁵ dead,³⁴⁹⁹ when he was⁵²²⁵ about⁴²²⁵ a hundred years old,¹⁵⁴¹ neither²⁵³² yet the³⁵⁸⁸ deadness³⁵⁰⁰ of Sarah's⁴⁵⁶⁴ womb:³³⁸⁸

19  그가 백세나 되어 자기 몸의 죽은 것 같음과 사라의 태의 죽은 것 같음을 알고도2657 믿음이 약하여지지 아니하고

19  And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body already dead (being about a hundred years old) or the deadening of Sarah's womb.

19   그가 믿음이 약해지지 아니하여 백 살이 되고서도 자기 몸이 이제 죽은 것으로 생각지 아니하고, 또 사라의 태도 죽은 것으로 생각지 아니하였느니라.

20  He⁽¹¹⁶¹⁾ staggered¹²⁵² not³⁷⁵⁶ at¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ promise¹⁸⁶⁰ of God²³¹⁶ through unbelief;⁵⁷⁰ but²³⁵ was strong¹⁷⁴³ in faith,⁴¹⁰² giving¹³²⁵ glory¹³⁹¹ to God;²³¹⁶

20 믿음이 없어 하나님의G2316 약속을 의심치G1252 않고 믿음에 견고하여져서G1743 하나님께G2316 영광을 돌리며

20  He did not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God,

20  그는 믿음 없음으로 인하여 엘로힘(하나님)의 약속을 의심하지 아니하였고 오히려 믿음에 견고하여져서 엘로힘(하나님)께 영광을 돌리며

견고하여져서:  사_35:4; 단_10:19, 단_11:32; 학_2:4; 스_8:9, 스_8:13; 고전_16:13; 고후_12:10; 엡_6:10; 딤후_2:1

21  And²⁵³² being fully persuaded⁴¹³⁵ that,³⁷⁵⁴ what³⁷³⁹ he had promised,¹⁸⁶¹ he was²⁰⁷⁶ able¹⁴¹⁵ also²⁵³² to perform.⁴¹⁶⁰

21  약속하신 그것을 또한 능히 이루실 줄을 확신하였으니G4135

21  and being fully persuaded that what God had promised, He was also able to perform.

21  약속하신 그것을 또한 이루실 것이라고 확신하였느니라.

22  And²⁵³² therefore¹³⁵² it was imputed³⁰⁴⁹ to him⁸⁴⁶ for¹⁵¹⁹ righteousness.¹³⁴³

22  그러므로 이것을 저에게 의로 여기셨느니라

22  And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

22 그러므로 그에게는 믿음이 의로 여겨졌느니라.

23  Now¹¹⁶¹ it was not³⁷⁵⁶ written¹¹²⁵ for his sake^{1223, 846} alone,³⁴⁴⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ it was imputed³⁰⁴⁹ to him;⁸⁴⁶

23  저에게 의로 여기셨다 기록된 것은 아브라함만 위한 것이 아니요

23  Now it was not written for him alone that it was imputed to him,

23  이제 그에게 의로 여겨졌다고 기록된 것은 아브라함만을 위한 것이 아니요

기록된 것은 - 롬_15:4; 고전_9:10, 고전_10:6, 고전_10:11; 딤후_3:16, 딤후_3:17

24  But²³⁵ for¹²²³ us²²⁴⁸ also,²⁵³² to whom³⁷³⁹ it shall³¹⁹⁵ be imputed,³⁰⁴⁹ if we³⁵⁸⁸ believe⁴¹⁰⁰ on¹⁹⁰⁹ him that raised up¹⁴⁵³ Jesus²⁴²⁴ our²²⁵⁷ Lord²⁹⁶² from¹⁵³⁷ the dead;³⁴⁹⁸

24  의로 여기심을 받을 우리도 위함이니 곧 예수G2424 우리 주를G2962 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신G1453 이를 믿는 자니라

24  but for us also to whom it is to be imputed, to the ones believing on Him who has raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

24  그 분께 의롭다고 여김을 받을 우리들 때문이기도 하니, 곧 야슈아(예수) 우리 아도나이(주H136)를 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 그 분을 믿는 자들이라.

우리들 때문이기도 하니:  행_2:39

25  Who³⁷³⁹ was delivered³⁸⁶⁰ for¹²²³ our²²⁵⁷ offenses,³⁹⁰⁰ and²⁵³² was raised again¹⁴⁵³ for¹²²³ our²²⁵⁷ justification.¹³⁴⁷

25  예수는 우리 범죄함을(offenses,G3900) 위하여 내어줌이 되고(deliveredG3860) 또한 우리를 의롭다하심을(justificationG1347) 위하여 살아나셨느니라(was raised againG1453)

25  who was delivered because of our offenses and was raised for our justification.

25  예수께서는 우리의 범죄함을 인하여 드려지셨고, 우리의 의롭게 하심을 위하여 다시 일으켜지셨느니라.
