1  Do we begin⁷⁵⁶ again³⁸²⁵ to commend⁴⁹²¹ ourselves?¹⁴³⁸ or¹⁵⁰⁸ need⁵⁵³⁵ we, as⁵⁶¹³ some⁵¹⁰⁰ others, epistles¹⁹⁹² of commendation⁴⁹⁵⁶ to⁴³¹⁴ you,⁵²⁰⁹ or²²²⁸ letters of commendation⁴⁹⁵⁶ from¹⁵³⁷ you?⁵²¹⁶

1  우리가(Do we beginG756) 다시(againG3825) 자(ourselves?G1488)천하기를( to commendG4921) 시작하겠느냐(Do we beginG756 ) 우리가(we, asG5613) 어찌 어떤 사람(someG5100)처럼(we, asG5613) 천거( of commendationG4956 )서를(others, epistlesG1992) 너희(you,G5209)에게(toG4314) 부치거나 혹( orG2228) 너희에게(you?G5216) 맡거나(fromG1537) 할 필요가(needG5535) 있느냐

1  Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, like some, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

1  우리가 다시 우리 자신들을 추천하기 시작하는 것이냐? 아니면 우리가 다른 사람들처럼 너희에게 줄 추천서와 너희로부터 받을 추천서가 필요하겠느냐?

2  Ye⁵²¹⁰ are²⁰⁷⁵ our²²⁵⁷ epistle¹⁹⁹² written¹⁴⁴⁹ in¹⁷²² our²²⁵⁷ hearts,²⁵⁸⁸ known¹⁰⁹⁷ and²⁵³² read³¹⁴ of⁵²⁵⁹ all³⁹⁵⁶ men:⁴⁴⁴

2  너희가 우리의 편지라 우리 마음에 썼고 뭇사람이 알고 읽는바라

2  You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men,

2  너희는 우리 마음에 기록된 우리의 편지라. 많은 사람에게 알려졌으며 읽혀졌고

3  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared⁵³¹⁹ to⁽³⁷⁵⁴⁾ be²⁰⁷⁵ the epistle¹⁹⁹² of Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ ministered¹²⁴⁷ by⁵²⁵⁹ us,²²⁵⁷ written¹⁴⁴⁹ not³⁷⁵⁶ with ink,³¹⁸⁸ but²³⁵ with the Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ of the living²¹⁹⁸ God;²³¹⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ in¹⁷²² tables⁴¹⁰⁹ of stone,³⁰³⁵ but²³⁵ in¹⁷²² fleshy⁴⁵⁶⁰ tables⁴¹⁰⁹ of the heart.²⁵⁸⁸

3  너희는 우리로 말미암아 나타난 그리스도의G5547 편지G1992니 이는 먹으로G3188 쓴 것이G1449  아니요G3756 오직G235 살아 계신G2198  하나님의G2316 영으로 한 것이며(with the SpiritG4151) 또 돌G3035비G4109에 쓴 것이 아니요 오직 육의G4560 심G2588비G4109에 한 것이라

3  it having been made plain that you are the epistle of Christ, ministered by us, not having been written with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tablets of stone, but in fleshly tablets of the heart.

3  또 너희는 우리가 섬긴 그리스도(마쉬악H4899)의 편지임이 분명히 드러났으니, 이는 잉크로 쓴 것이 아니라 살아 계신 하나님(엘로힘)의 영으로 쓴 것이며, 돌판에 쓴 것이 아니라 육신의 마음판에 쓴 것이라.

4  And¹¹⁶¹ such⁵¹⁰⁸ trust⁴⁰⁰⁶ have²¹⁹² we through¹²²³ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ to⁴³¹⁴ God-ward:²³¹⁶

4  우리가 그리스도로G5547 말미암아 하나님을G2316 향하여 이같은 확신이G4006 있으니

4  And we have such trust through Christ toward God,

4 우리는 하나님(엘로힘)을 향한 그러한 확신을 그리스도(마쉬악)를 통하여 가졌노라.

5  Not³⁷⁵⁶ that³⁷⁵⁴ we are²⁰⁷⁰ sufficient²⁴²⁵ of⁵⁷⁵ ourselves¹⁴³⁸ to think³⁰⁴⁹ any thing⁵¹⁰⁰ as⁵⁶¹³ of¹⁵³⁷ ourselves;¹⁴³⁸ but²³⁵ our²²⁵⁷ sufficiency²⁴²⁶ is of¹⁵³⁷ God;²³¹⁶

5  우리가 무슨 일이든지 우리에게서 난 것같이 생각하여 스스로 만족할 것이 아니니 우리의 만족은G2426 오직 하나님께G2316로서 났느니라

5  not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God;

5  우리는 어떤 일이라도 우리에게서 난 것같이 생각하여 스스로 만족하지 않는 것은 우리의 만족이 하나님(엘로힘)께로부터 난 것이기 때문이라.

6  Who³⁷³⁹ also²⁵³² hath made us able^{2427, 2248} ministers¹²⁴⁹ of the new²⁵³⁷ testament;¹²⁴² not³⁷⁵⁶ of the letter,¹¹²¹ but²³⁵ of the spirit:⁴¹⁵¹ for¹⁰⁶³ the³⁵⁸⁸ letter¹¹²¹ killeth,⁶¹⁵ but¹¹⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ spirit⁴¹⁵¹ giveth life.²²²⁷

6  저가 또 우리로 새G2537 언약의G1242  일군 되기에G1249  만족케 하셨으니 의문으로 하지(of the letter,G1121) 아니하고G3756 오직G235 영으로 함이니G4151 의문은G1121 죽이는 것이요G615  영은G4151 살리는 것임이니라G2227

6  who also has made us able ministers of the new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit makes alive.

6   또한 그 분은 우리로 새 언약의 능력있는 일꾼이 되게 하셨는데, 이는 법문으로 한 것이 아니고 영으로 한 것이니, 법문은 죽이고 영은 생명을 주기 때문이라.

새언약 - 거룩한 언약(言約) 참조

7  But¹¹⁶¹ if¹⁴⁸⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ ministration¹²⁴⁸ of death,²²⁸⁸ written^{1722, 1121} and engraven¹⁷⁹⁵ in¹⁷²² stones,³⁰³⁷ was¹⁰⁹⁶ glorious,^{1722, 1391} so that⁵⁶²⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ children⁵²⁰⁷ of Israel²⁴⁷⁴ could¹⁴¹⁰ not³³⁶¹ steadfastly⁸¹⁶ behold⁽¹⁵¹⁹⁾ the³⁵⁸⁸ face⁴³⁸³ of Moses³⁴⁷⁵ for¹²²³ the³⁵⁸⁸ glory¹³⁹¹ of his⁸⁴⁶ countenance;⁴³⁸³ which glory was to be done away:²⁶⁷³

7  돌에G3037 써서 새긴G1795  죽게 하는G2288 의문의(writtenG1722,   G1121) 직분G1248도 영광이 있어 이스라엘 자손들이 모세의G3475 얼굴의 없어질 영광을G1391 인하여 그 얼굴을 주목하지 못하였거든

7  But if the ministry of death, having been engraved in letters in stone was with glory (so that the sons of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses because of the glory of his face), which was being done away;

7 그러나 돌판에 기록되고 새겨진 죽음의 직분이 영광스러워서 이스라엘 자손이 모세의 용모의 영광, 즉 없어져 버릴 영광 때문에 그의 얼굴을 주목할 수 없었거늘

8  How⁴⁴⁵⁹ shall not³⁷⁸⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ ministration¹²⁴⁸ of the³⁵⁸⁸ spirit⁴¹⁵¹ be²⁰⁷¹ rather³¹²³ glorious?^{1722, 1391}

8  하물며 영의(of theG3588 spiritG4151) 직분이G1248 더욱 영광이G1391 있지 아니하겠느냐

8  shall not the ministry of the Spirit be with more glory?

8  하물며 영의 직분은 더욱 영광스럽지 아니하겠느냐?

9  For¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ ministration¹²⁴⁸ of condemnation²⁶³³ be glory,¹³⁹¹ much⁴¹⁸³ more³¹²³ doth the³⁵⁸⁸ ministration¹²⁴⁸ of righteousness¹³⁴³ exceed⁴⁰⁵² in¹⁷²² glory.¹³⁹¹

9  정죄의G2633 직분도G1248 영광이 있은즉 의의G1343 직분은G1248 영광이G1391 더욱 넘치리라G4052

9  For if the ministry of condemnation is glorious, much more does the ministry of righteousness exceed in glory.

9  정죄의 직분에 영광이 있다면 의의 직분에는 영광이 더욱 많으리라.

10  For¹⁰⁶³ even²⁵³² that which was made glorious¹³⁹² had no glory^{1392, 3761} in¹⁷²² this⁵¹²⁹ respect,³³¹³ by reason of¹⁷⁵² the³⁵⁸⁸ glory¹³⁹¹ that excelleth.⁵²³⁵

10  영광되었던 것이 더 큰 영광을 인하여 이에 영광될 것이 없으나

10  For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels.

10  이전에는 영광스러운 것이었을지라도 그것을 앞지르는 영광 때문에 이런 점에서는 영광스럽지 못한 것이라.

11  For¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ that which is done away²⁶⁷³ was glorious,^{1223, 1391} much⁴¹⁸³ more³¹²³ that which remaineth³³⁰⁶ is glorious.^{1722, 1391}

11  없어질 것G2673도 영광으로 말미암았은즉 길이 있을 것은G3306 더욱 영광 가운데 있느니라

11  For if that which has been done away was glorious, much more that which remains is glorious.

11   없어져 버린 것도 영광스럽다면 영속할 것은 영광이 훨씬 더 많으리라.

없어져 버린 것도: 고후_3:3, 고후_3:7; Heb_7:21-25, 히_8:10, 히_8:13, 히_12:25-29

12  Seeing then³⁷⁶⁷ that we have²¹⁹² such⁵¹⁰⁸ hope,¹⁶⁸⁰ we use⁵⁵³⁰ great⁴¹⁸³ plainness of speech:³⁹⁵⁴

12  우리가 이같은 소망이G1680 있으므로 담대히 말G3954하노니

12  Then since we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech.

12  정녕 우리가 그러한 소망을 가진 것을 담대하게 말하노니

13  And²⁵³² not³⁷⁵⁶ as²⁵⁰⁹ Moses,³⁴⁷⁵ which put⁵⁰⁸⁷ a veil²⁵⁷¹ over¹⁹⁰⁹ his¹⁴³⁸ face,⁴³⁸³ that the³⁵⁸⁸ children⁵²⁰⁷ of Israel²⁴⁷⁴ could not³³⁶¹ steadfastly look⁸¹⁶ to¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ end⁵⁰⁵⁶ of that which is abolished:²⁶⁷³

13  우리는 모세가 이스라엘 자손들로 장차 없어질 것의 결국을 주목치 못하게 하려고 수건을G2571 그 얼굴에 쓴 것 같이 아니하노라

13  And we are not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the sons of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of the thing being done away.

13  모세가 이스라엘 자손이 없어질 것의 종말을 지켜 보지 못하게 하려고 자기 얼굴에 수건을 가리는 것같이는 아니하노라.

14  But²³⁵ their⁸⁴⁶ minds³⁵⁴⁰ were blinded:⁴⁴⁵⁶ for¹⁰⁶³ until⁸⁹¹ this day⁴⁵⁹⁴ remaineth³³⁰⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ same⁸⁴⁶ veil²⁵⁷¹ untaken away^{343, 3361} in¹⁹⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ reading³²⁰ of the³⁵⁸⁸ old³⁸²⁰ testament;¹²⁴² which³⁷⁴⁸ veil is done away²⁶⁷³ in¹⁷²² Christ.⁵⁵⁴⁷

14  그러나 저희 마음이G3540 완고하여G4456 오늘G4594까지라도G891 구G3820약을G1242 읽을 때에 그 수건이G2571 오히려 벗어지지 아니하고 있으니(untaken awayG343, G3361) 그 수건은 그리스도G5547 안에서G1722 없어질 것이라(veil is done awayG2673)

14  (But their thoughts were blinded; for until the present the same veil remains on the reading of the old covenant, not taken away.) But this veil has been done away in Christ.

14  그들의 마음이 완고하여 오늘까지도 옛 언약을 읽을 때에 그와 같은 수건이 벗겨지지 아니하고 남아 있으나, 그 수건은 그리스도(마쉬악) 안에서 없어지는 것이라.

15  But²³⁵ even unto²¹⁹³ this day,⁴⁵⁹⁴ when²²⁵⁹ Moses³⁴⁷⁵ is read,³¹⁴ the veil²⁵⁷¹ is²⁷⁴⁹ upon¹⁹⁰⁹ their⁸⁴⁶ heart.²⁵⁸⁸

15  오늘까지 모세의 글을 읽을 때에 수건이 오히려 그 마음을 덮었도다

15  But until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is on their heart.

15   그러나 오늘까지도 모세의 글을 읽을 때에 수건이 그들의 마음을 덮는도다.

16  Nevertheless¹¹⁶¹ when^{2259, 302} it shall turn¹⁹⁹⁴ to⁴³¹⁴ the Lord,²⁹⁶² the³⁵⁸⁸ veil²⁵⁷¹ shall be taken away.⁴⁰¹⁴

16  그러나 언제든지 주G2962께로 돌아가면G1994 그 수건이G2571 벗어지리라G4014

16  But whenever it turns to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.

16  그렇지만 주(야훼)께로 돌아서면 그 수건은 벗겨지리라.

돌아서면:  출_34:34; 신_4:30, 신_30:10; 애_3:40; 호_3:4, 호_3:5; 롬_11:25-27

벗겨지리라:  사_25:7, 사_29:18, 사_54:13; 렘_31:34; 요_6:45, 요_6:46

17  Now¹¹⁶¹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Lord²⁹⁶² is²⁰⁷⁶ that Spirit:⁴¹⁵¹ and¹¹⁶¹ where³⁷⁵⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ of the Lord²⁹⁶² is, there¹⁵⁶³ is liberty.¹⁶⁵⁷

17  주는G2962 영G4151이시니 주의G2962 영이G4151 계신 곳에는G3757 자유함이G1657 있느니라

17  And the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

17    이제 그 영은 주(야훼)시니 주(야훼)의 영이 계신 곳에는 자유가 있느니라.

주의 영이 계신 곳에는:  시_51:12; 사_61:1; 롬_8:2, 롬_8:15, 롬_8:16; 갈_4:6; 딤후_1:7

18  But¹¹⁶¹ we²²⁴⁹ all,³⁹⁵⁶ with open³⁴³ face⁴³⁸³ beholding as in a glass²⁷³⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ glory¹³⁹¹ of the Lord,²⁹⁶² are changed³³³⁹ into the³⁵⁸⁸ same⁸⁴⁶ image¹⁵⁰⁴ from⁵⁷⁵ glory¹³⁹¹ to¹⁵¹⁹ glory,¹³⁹¹ even as²⁵⁰⁹ by⁵⁷⁵ the Spirit⁴¹⁵¹ of the Lord.²⁹⁶²

18  우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 거울을 보는것 같이(beholding as in a glassG2734) 주의G2962 영광을G1391 보매(beholding as in a glassG2734) 저와 같은(into theG3588 sameG846) 형상으로(imageG1504) 화하여(are changedG3339) 영광G1391으로 영광G1391에 이르니 곧 주의G2962 영G4151으로 말미암음이니라G575 

18  But we all, with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord Spirit.

18   그러나 유리를 통해 보는 것같이 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 주(야훼)의 영광을 보는 우리 모두는, 주(야훼)의 영으로 말미암은 것같이 영광에서 영광에 이르는 똑같은 형상으로 변모되느니라.
