1  I say³⁰⁰⁴ the truth²²⁵ in¹⁷²² Christ,⁵⁵⁴⁷ I lie⁵⁵⁷⁴ not,³⁷⁵⁶ my³⁴⁵⁰ conscience⁴⁸⁹³ also bearing me witness^{4828, 3427} in¹⁷²² the Holy⁴⁰ Ghost,⁴¹⁵¹

1  내가( I sayG3004) 그리스도(ChristG5547) 안에서(inG1722) 참(the truthG225)말을 하고( I sayG3004) 거짓말을(I lieG5574) 아니(notG3756 )하노라(I lieG5574) 내게 큰 근심이 있는 것과 마음에 그치지 않는 고통이 있는 것을 내(myG3450) 양심이(conscienceG4893) 성( the HolyG40)령(GhostG4151) 안에서(inG1722) 나로 더불어 증거하노니(also bearing me witnessG4828)

1  I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,

1    내가 마쉬악(그리스도H4899) 안에서 진실을 말하고 거짓말을 하지 아니하노니, 나의 양심도 성령 안에서 나에게 증거하는 것은,

2  That³⁷⁵⁴ I³⁴²⁷ have²⁰⁷⁶ great³¹⁷³ heaviness³⁰⁷⁷ and²⁵³² continual⁸⁸ sorrow³⁶⁰¹ in my³⁴⁵⁰ heart.²⁵⁸⁸

2  내가 그리스도 안에서 참말을 하고 거짓말을 아니하노라 내게 큰근심이G3077 있는 것과 마음2588에 그치지 않는 고통이 있는 것을 내 양심이 성령안에서 나로 더불어 증거하노니

2  That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.

2    내 마음에 큰 근심과 그치지 않는 슬픔이 있다는 것이라.

3  For¹⁰⁶³ I¹⁴⁷³ could wish²¹⁷² that myself⁸⁴⁸ were¹⁵¹¹ accursed³³¹ from⁵⁷⁵ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ for⁵²²⁸ my³⁴⁵⁰ brethren,⁸⁰ my³⁴⁵⁰ kinsmen⁴⁷⁷³ according²⁵⁹⁶ to the flesh:⁴⁵⁶¹

3  나의 형제G80 곧 골육의 친척을 위하여 내 자신이 저주를G331 받아 그리스도G5547에게서 끊어질지라도 원하는 바로라

3  For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

3  육신에 따른 내 형제들, 내 동족을 위해서라면 차라리 내 자신이 마쉬악(그리스도H4899)로부터 저주받기를 바랐겠노라.

4  Who³⁷⁴⁸ are¹⁵²⁶ Israelites;²⁴⁷⁵ to whom³⁷³⁹ pertaineth the³⁵⁸⁸ adoption,⁵²⁰⁶ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ glory,¹³⁹¹ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ covenants,¹²⁴² and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ giving of the law,³⁵⁴⁸ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ service²⁹⁹⁹ of God, and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ promises;¹⁸⁶⁰

4  저희는 이스라엘 사람G2475이라 저희에게는 양자 됨G5206과 영광G1391과 언약들G1242과 율법을 세우신 것G3548과 예배G2999와 약속들G1860이 있고

4  Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

4   그들은 이스라엘인들이라. 그들에게는 양자됨과 영광과 언약들과 율법을 주심과 엘로힘(하나님)을 섬김과 약속들이 있고

5  Whose³⁷³⁹ are the³⁵⁸⁸ fathers,³⁹⁶² and²⁵³² of¹⁵³⁷ whom³⁷³⁹ as concerning²⁵⁹⁶ the flesh⁴⁵⁶¹ Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ came, who is⁵⁶⁰⁷ over¹⁹⁰⁹ all,³⁹⁵⁶ God²³¹⁶ blessed²¹²⁸ forever.^{1519, 165} Amen.²⁸¹

5  조상들도 저희 것이요 육신으로G4561 하면 그리스도가G5547 저희에게서 나셨으니 저는 만물 위에 계셔 세세에 찬양을 받으실G2128 하나님G2316이시니라 아멘G281

5  Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

5  조상들도 그들의 조상이며 육신으로는 마쉬악(그리스도H4899)께서 그들에게서 나셨으니, 그는 만물 위에 계셔서 영원히 송축받으실 야훼(하나님)이시라. 아민(아멘).

6  ⁽¹¹⁶¹⁾ Not³⁷⁵⁶ as though^{3754, (3634)} the³⁵⁸⁸ word³⁰⁵⁶ of God²³¹⁶ hath taken none effect.¹⁶⁰¹ For¹⁰⁶³ they³⁷⁷⁸ are not³⁷⁵⁶ all³⁹⁵⁶ Israel,²⁴⁷⁴ which³⁵⁸⁸ are of¹⁵³⁷ Israel:²⁴⁷⁴

6  또한 하나님의G2316 말씀이G3056 폐하여진G1601  것 같지 않도다 이스라엘에게서 난 그들이 다 이스라엘이 아니요

6  Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

6    그러나 엘로힘(하나님)의 말씀이 헛되지 아니하였으니, 이는 이스라엘에서 난 사람이 다 이스라엘이 아니며

7  Neither,³⁷⁶¹ because³⁷⁵⁴ they are¹⁵²⁶ the seed⁴⁶⁹⁰ of Abraham,¹¹ are they all³⁹⁵⁶ children:⁵⁰⁴³ but,²³⁵ In¹⁷²² Isaac²⁴⁶⁴ shall thy⁴⁶⁷¹ seed⁴⁶⁹⁰ be called.²⁵⁶⁴

7  또한 아브라함의 씨가G4690 다 그 자녀가 아니라 오직 이삭으로부터 난 자라야 네 씨라 칭하리라 하셨으니

7  Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

7 또 아브라함의 씨라 하여 다 자녀가 되는 것이 아니기 때문이라. "오직 이삭에게서 난 자만이 너의 씨라 불리리라." 하셨으니

때문이라:  눅_3:8, 눅_16:24, 눅_16:25, 눅_16:30; 요_8:37-39; 빌_3:3

이삭:  참_21:12; 히b_11:18; 갈_3:16, 갈_3:29

8  That is,⁵¹²³ They which are the³⁵⁸⁸ children⁵⁰⁴³ of the³⁵⁸⁸ flesh,⁴⁵⁶¹ these⁵⁰²³ are not³⁷⁵⁶ the children⁵⁰⁴³ of God:²³¹⁶ but²³⁵ the³⁵⁸⁸ children⁵⁰⁴³ of the³⁵⁸⁸ promise¹⁸⁶⁰ are counted³⁰⁴⁹ for¹⁵¹⁹ the seed.⁴⁶⁹⁰

8  곧 육신의G4561 자녀가G5043 하나님의G2316 자녀가 아니라 오직 약속의G1860 자녀가G5043 씨로G4690 여기심을 받느니라

8  That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

8  이는 육신의 자녀가 엘로힘(하나님)의 자녀가 아니요 오직 약속의 자녀만이 씨로 여김을 받는다는 것이라.

여김을 받는다는 것이라: 요_1:13; 갈_3:26-29, 갈_4:28; 요일_3:1, 요일_3:2

9  For¹⁰⁶³ this³⁷⁷⁸ is the³⁵⁸⁸ word³⁰⁵⁶ of promise,¹⁸⁶⁰ At²⁵⁹⁶ this⁵¹²⁶ time²⁵⁴⁰ will I come,²⁰⁶⁴ and²⁵³² Sarah⁴⁵⁶⁴ shall have²⁰⁷¹ a son.⁵²⁰⁷

9  약속의G1860 말씀은 이것이라 명년 이 때에 내가 이르리니 사라G4564에게 아들이 있으리라 하시니라

9  For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.

9  약속의 말씀은 이것이니 "이때쯤에 내가 오리니 사라에게 아들이 있으리라." 하신 것이라.

10  And¹¹⁶¹ not³⁷⁵⁶ only³⁴⁴⁰ this; but²³⁵ when Rebecca⁴⁴⁷⁹ also²⁵³² had²¹⁹² conceived²⁸⁴⁵ by¹⁵³⁷ one,¹⁵²⁰ even by our²²⁵⁷ father³⁹⁶² Isaac;²⁴⁶⁴

10  이뿐 아니라 또한 리브가가G4479 우리 조상 이삭 한 사람으로 말미암아 잉태하였는데

10  And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

10    그뿐 아니라 리브카도 한 사람, 곧 우리 조상 이삭에 의하여 잉태하였는데

11  (For¹⁰⁶³ the children being not yet³³⁸⁰ born,¹⁰⁸⁰ neither³³⁶⁶ having done⁴²³⁸ any⁵¹⁰⁰ good¹⁸ or²²²⁸ evil,²⁵⁵⁶ that²⁴⁴³ the³⁵⁸⁸ purpose⁴²⁸⁶ of God²³¹⁶ according²⁵⁹⁶ to election¹⁵⁸⁹ might stand,³³⁰⁶ not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ works,²⁰⁴¹ but²³⁵ of¹⁵³⁷ him that calleth;)²⁵⁶⁴

11  그 자식들이 아직(the children being not yetG3380) 나지G1080도 아니하고G3366 무슨 선G18이나 악을2556 행하지 아니한 때에 택하심을G1589  따라 되는 하나님의 G2316 뜻이G4286 행위G2041로 말미암지 않고 오직 부르시는 이2564에게로 말미암아 서게 하려 하사

11  (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

11  (아직 자식들이 나지도 아니하였고 또한 무슨 선이나 악을 행하지도 아니하였을 때에, 택하심을 따른 엘로힘(하나님)의 목적이 행함에 의해서가 아니라 그의 부르심에 있게 하시려고)

목적:  롬_8:28-30; 사_14:24, 사_14:26, 사_14:27, 사_23:9, 사_46:10,사_46:11; 엡_1:9-11; 엡_3:11; 딤후_1:9

12  It was said⁴⁴⁸³ unto her,⁸⁴⁶ The³⁵⁸⁸ elder³¹⁸⁷ shall serve¹³⁹⁸ the³⁵⁸⁸ younger.¹⁶⁴⁰

12  리브가에게 이르시되 큰 자가 어린 자를 섬기리라 하셨나니

12  It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

12  그녀에게 말씀하시기를 "형이 아우를 섬기리라."고 하셨으니

형이:  창_25:22, 창_25:23; 삼하_8:14; 왕상_22:47

13  As²⁵³¹ it is written,¹¹²⁵ Jacob²³⁸⁴ have I loved,²⁵ but¹¹⁶¹ Esau²²⁶⁹ have I hated.³⁴⁰⁴

13  기록된바 내가 야곱은 사랑하고 에서는 미워하였다 하심과 같으니라

13  As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

13  기록된 바 "내가 야곱은 사랑하였고 에서는 미워하였노라." 함과 같으니라.

기록된 바:  말_1:2, 말_1:3

14  What⁵¹⁰¹ shall we say²⁰⁴⁶ then?³⁷⁶⁷ Is there⁽³³⁶¹⁾ unrighteousness⁹³ with³⁸⁴⁴ God?²³¹⁶ God forbid.^{1096, 3361}

14  그런즉 우리가 무슨 말 하리요 하나님께G2316 불의가G93 있느뇨 그럴 수 없느니라

14  What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

14  그렇다면 우리가 무슨 말을 하리요? 엘로힘(하나님)께 불의가 있느냐? 결코 그럴 수 없느니라.

15  For¹⁰⁶³ he saith³⁰⁰⁴ to Moses,³⁴⁷⁵ I will have mercy¹⁶⁵³ on whom^{3739, 302} I will have mercy,¹⁶⁵³ and²⁵³² I will have compassion³⁶²⁷ on whom^{3739, 302} I will have compassion.³⁶²⁷

15  모세에게 이르시되 내가 긍휼히 여길 자를 긍휼히 여기고 불쌍히 여길 자를 불쌍히 여기리라 하셨으니

15  For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

15  하나님께서 모세에게 말씀하시기를 "내가 자비를 베풀 자에게 자비를 베풀고 내가 가엾게 여길 자를 가엾게 여기리라." 하셨으니

말씀하시기를 : 출_33:19

16  So⁶⁸⁶ then³⁷⁶⁷ it is not³⁷⁵⁶ of him that willeth,²³⁰⁹ nor³⁷⁶¹ of him that runneth,⁵¹⁴³ but²³⁵ of God²³¹⁶ that showeth mercy.¹⁶⁵³

16  그런즉 원하는 자로 말미암음도 아니요 달음박질하는 자로 말미암음도 아니요 오직 긍휼히 여기시는 하나님으로G2316 말미암음이니라

16  So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy.

16 그러므로 원하는 자에 의해서도 아니요, 달리는 자에 의해서도 아니며, 오직 자비를 베푸시는 야훼(하나님)에 의해서니라.

17  For¹⁰⁶³ the³⁵⁸⁸ Scripture¹¹²⁴ saith³⁰⁰⁴ unto Pharaoh,⁵³²⁸ Even for¹⁵¹⁹ this same purpose^{5124, 846} have I raised thee up,^{1825, 4571} that³⁷⁰⁴ I might show¹⁷³¹ my³⁴⁵⁰ power¹⁴¹¹ in¹⁷²² thee,⁴⁶⁷¹ and²⁵³² that³⁷⁰⁴ my³⁴⁵⁰ name³⁶⁸⁶ might be declared¹²²⁹ throughout¹⁷²² all³⁹⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ earth.¹⁰⁹³

17  성경이G1124 바로에게 이르시되 내가 이 일을 위하여 너를 세웠으니 곧 너로 말미암아 내 능력을G1411 보이고 내 이름이G3686 온 땅에 전파되게 하려 함이로라G1229  하셨으니

17  For the Scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might show my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

17    성경이 파라오에게 말하기를 "이 목적을 위하여 내가 너를 세웠으니, 이는 내가 너에게 나의 능력을 보이고 또 내 이름이 온 땅에 선포되게 하려 함이라." 하셨으니

세웠으니:  삼상_2:7, 삼상_2:8; 에_4:14; 사_10:5, 사_10:6, 사_45:1-3; 렘_27:6, 렘_27:7; 단_4:22; 단_5:18-21

18  Therefore^{686, 3767} hath he mercy¹⁶⁵³ on whom³⁷³⁹ he will²³⁰⁹ have mercy, and¹¹⁶¹ whom³⁷³⁹ he will²³⁰⁹ he hardeneth.⁴⁶⁴⁵

18  그런즉 하나님께서 하고자 하시는 자를 긍휼히 여기시고 하고자 하시는 자를 강퍅케 하시느니라

18  Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

18  그러므로 그분께서는 자비를 베푸시고자 하는 자에게 자비를 베푸시고 또 원하시는 자를 완악하게 하시느니라.

19  Thou wilt say²⁰⁴⁶ then³⁷⁶⁷ unto me,³⁴²⁷ Why⁵¹⁰¹ doth he yet²⁰⁸⁹ find fault?³²⁰¹ For¹⁰⁶³ who⁵¹⁰¹ hath resisted⁴³⁶ his⁸⁴⁶ will?¹⁰¹³

19  혹 네가 내게 말하기를 그러면 하나님이 어찌하여 허물하시느뇨G3201 누가 그 뜻을 대적하느뇨 하리니

19  Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

19    그러면 네가 내게 "어찌하여 그분께서 여전히 잘못을 찾고 계시며, 누가 그분의 뜻을 거역하였느냐?"라고 말하리라.

20  Nay but,³³⁰⁴ O⁵⁵⁹⁹ man,⁴⁴⁴ who⁵¹⁰¹ art¹⁴⁸⁸ thou⁴⁷⁷¹ that repliest against⁴⁷⁰ God?²³¹⁶ Shall⁽³³⁶¹⁾ the³⁵⁸⁸ thing formed⁴¹¹⁰ say²⁰⁴⁶ to him that formed⁴¹¹¹ it, Why⁵¹⁰¹ hast thou made⁴¹⁶⁰ me³¹⁶⁵ thus?³⁷⁷⁹

20  이 사람아 네가 뉘기에 감히 하나님을G2316 힐문하느뇨 지음을 받은 물건이 지은 자에게 어찌 나를 이같이 만들었느냐 말하겠느뇨

20  Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

20  오 아니라, 이 사람아, 네가 누구기에 엘로힘(하나님)께 대꾸하느냐? 지음을 받은 것이 지은 이에게 "어찌하여 나를 이같이 만들었느냐?"고 말할 수 있겠느냐?

감히:  욥_33:13, 욥_36:23, 욥_38:2, 욥_38:3, 욥_40:2, 욥_40:5, 욥_40:8, 욥_42:2-6; 마_20:15

21  ⁽²²²⁸⁾ Hath²¹⁹² not³⁷⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ potter²⁷⁶³ power¹⁸⁴⁹ over the³⁵⁸⁸ clay,⁴⁰⁸¹ of¹⁵³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ same⁸⁴⁶ lump⁵⁴⁴⁵ to make⁴¹⁶⁰ one^{3739, 3303} vessel⁴⁶³² unto¹⁵¹⁹ honor,⁵⁰⁹² and¹¹⁶¹ another³⁷³⁹ unto¹⁵¹⁹ dishonor?⁸¹⁹

21  토기장이가G2763 진흙 한 덩이로 하나는 귀히 쓸 그릇을 하나는 천히 쓸 그릇을 만드는 권이 없느냐

21  Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor, and another unto dishonor?

21  토기장이가 같은 진흙 덩이로 하나는 귀히 쓸 그릇을, 하나는 천하게 쓸 그릇을 만들 권한이 없겠느냐?

22  What⁽¹¹⁶¹⁾ if¹⁴⁸⁷ God,²³¹⁶ willing²³⁰⁹ to show¹⁷³¹ his wrath,³⁷⁰⁹ and²⁵³² to make his power known,^{1107, 848, 1415} endured⁵³⁴² with¹⁷²² much⁴¹⁸³ longsuffering³¹¹⁵ the vessels⁴⁶³² of wrath³⁷⁰⁹ fitted²⁶⁷⁵ to¹⁵¹⁹ destruction:⁶⁸⁴

22  만일 하나님이G2316 그 진노를 보이시고 그 능력을 알게 하고자 하사 멸하기로 준비된 진노의 그릇을 오래 참으심으로 관용하시고G5342

22  What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

22  엘로힘(하나님)께서 그의 진노를 나타내시고 또 그의 능력을 알게 하시려고 멸하기에 합당한 진노의 그릇들을 심히 오래 참음으로 인내하시며

인내하시며: 민_14:11, 민_14:18; 시_50:21, 시_50:22; 전_8:11, 전_8:12; 애_3:22; 벧전_3:20; 벧후_2:3, 벧후_2:9; 벧후_3:8, 벧후_3:9, 벧후_3:15; 유_1:4; 계_6:9-11

23  And²⁵³² that²⁴⁴³ he might make known¹¹⁰⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ riches⁴¹⁴⁹ of his⁸⁴⁸ glory¹³⁹¹ on¹⁹⁰⁹ the vessels⁴⁶³² of mercy,¹⁶⁵⁶ which³⁷³⁹ he had afore prepared⁴²⁸² unto¹⁵¹⁹ glory,¹³⁹¹

23  또한 영광G1391 받기로G1519 예비하신바G4282 긍휼의G1656 그릇에G4632 대하여 그 영광의 부요함을 알게하고자 하셨을지라도 무슨 말 하리요

23  And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

23  영광에 이르도록 예비된 자비의 그릇들에 대해서 그의 영광의 풍요함을 알게 하고자 하셨다면 어찌하겠느냐?

예비하신바:  대상_29:18; 눅_1:17; 엡_2:3-5; 골_1:12; 살전_5:9; 살후2:13, 살후_2:14; 딤전_2:21; 딛_3:3-7; 벧전_1:2-5

24  Even²⁵³² us,²²⁴⁸ whom³⁷³⁹ he hath called,²⁵⁶⁴ not³⁷⁵⁶ of¹⁵³⁷ the Jews²⁴⁵³ only,³⁴⁴⁰ but²³⁵ also²⁵³² of¹⁵³⁷ the Gentiles?¹⁴⁸⁴

24  이 그릇은 우리니 곧 유대인G2453 중에서 뿐아니라 이방인G1484 중에서도 부르신 자니라2564

24  Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

24  그가 우리까지도 부르셨으되, 유대인들 중에서뿐만 아니라 이방인들 중에서도 부르셨느니라.

25  As⁵⁶¹³ he saith³⁰⁰⁴ also²⁵³² in¹⁷²² Hosea,⁵⁶¹⁷ I will call²⁵⁶⁴ them my³⁴⁵⁰ people,²⁹⁹² which³⁵⁸⁸ were not³⁷⁵⁶ my³⁴⁵⁰ people;²⁹⁹² and²⁵³² her beloved,²⁵ which was not beloved.^{25, 3756}

25  호세아 글에도 이르기를 내가 내 백성G2992 아닌 자를 내 백성이라 사랑치 아니한 자를 사랑한 자라 부르리라

25  As he saith also in Hosea, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

25    호세아의 글에서도 말씀하신 바와 같이 "내가 내 백성이 아닌 자들을 나의 백성이라, 사랑하지 않은 자들을 사랑하는 자라고 부르리라.

26  And²⁵³² it shall come to pass,²⁰⁷¹ that in¹⁷²² the³⁵⁸⁸ place⁵¹¹⁷ where³⁷⁵⁷ it was said⁴⁴⁸³ unto them,⁸⁴⁶ Ye⁵²¹⁰ are not³⁷⁵⁶ my³⁴⁵⁰ people;²⁹⁹² there¹⁵⁶³ shall they be called²⁵⁶⁴ the children⁵²⁰⁷ of the living²¹⁹⁸ God.²³¹⁶

26  너희는 내 백성이 아니라 한 그곳에서 저희가 살아 계신 하나님의 아들이라 부름을 얻으리라 함과 같으니라

26  And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

26  '너희는 나의 백성이 아니라.'고 그들에게 말한 그곳에서 그들이 살아 계신 엘로힘(하나님)의 자녀들이라고 불리리라."고 하셨느니라.

27  Isaiah²²⁶⁸ also¹¹⁶¹ crieth²⁸⁹⁶ concerning⁵²²⁸ Israel,²⁴⁷⁴ Though¹⁴³⁷ the³⁵⁸⁸ number⁷⁰⁶ of the³⁵⁸⁸ children⁵²⁰⁷ of Israel²⁴⁷⁴ be⁵⁶⁰⁰ as⁵⁶¹³ the³⁵⁸⁸ sand²⁸⁵ of the³⁵⁸⁸ sea,²²⁸¹ a remnant²⁶⁴⁰ shall be saved:⁴⁹⁸²

27  또 이사야가 이스라엘에 관하여 외치되 이스라엘 뭇자손의 수가 비록 바다의 모래 같을지라도 남은 자만2640 구원을 얻으리니G4982

27  Isaiah also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved:

27    또한 이사야가 이스라엘에 관하여 부르짖기를 "이스라엘 자손의 수가 바다의 모래 같을지라도 남은 자만 구원을 받으리라.

28  For¹⁰⁶³ he will finish⁴⁹³¹ the work,³⁰⁵⁶ and²⁵³² cut it short⁴⁹³² in¹⁷²² righteousness:¹³⁴³ because³⁷⁵⁴ a short⁴⁹³² work³⁰⁵⁶ will the Lord²⁹⁶² make⁴¹⁶⁰ upon¹⁹⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ earth.¹⁰⁹³

28  주께서G2962 땅 위에서 그 말씀을 이루사 필하시고 끝내시리라 하셨느니라

28  For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

28  그가 그 일을 완수하시고 의 가운데서 속히 이루시리니, 이는 야훼(주)께서 땅 위에서 그 일을 속히 행하실 것임이라." 하였느니라.

29  And²⁵³² as²⁵³¹ Isaiah²²⁶⁸ said before,⁴²⁸⁰ Except¹⁵⁰⁸ the Lord²⁹⁶² of Sabaoth⁴⁵¹⁹ had left¹⁴⁵⁹ us²²⁵⁴ a seed,⁴⁶⁹⁰ we had been^{1096, 302} as⁵⁶¹³ Sodom,⁴⁶⁷⁰ and²⁵³² been made like^{3666, 302} unto⁵⁶¹³ Gomorrah.¹¹¹⁶

29  또한 이사야가 미리 말한바 만일 만군의G4519 주께서G2962 우리에게 씨를 남겨 두시지 아니하셨더면 우리가 소돔과 같이 되고 고모라와 같았으리로다 함과 같으니라

29  And as Isaiah said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom, and been made like unto Gomorrah.

29  또 이사야가 미리 말한 바와 같이 "만일 사바오드/ 차바(만군H6635)의 야훼(주)께서 우리에게 한 씨를 남겨 두시지 아니하셨다면, 우리가 소돔과 같이 되고 또 고모라와 같이 되었으리라." 함이니라.

30  What⁵¹⁰¹ shall we say²⁰⁴⁶ then?³⁷⁶⁷ That³⁷⁵⁴ the Gentiles,¹⁴⁸⁴ which³⁵⁸⁸ followed¹³⁷⁷ not³³⁶¹ after righteousness,¹³⁴³ have attained²⁶³⁸ to righteousness,¹³⁴³ even¹¹⁶¹ the righteousness¹³⁴³ which³⁵⁸⁸ is of¹⁵³⁷ faith.⁴¹⁰²

30  그런즉 우리가 무슨 말 하리요 의를 좇지 아니한 이방인들이 의를 얻었으니 곧 믿음G4102에서 난 의요

30  What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

30    그런즉 우리가 무슨 말을 하리요? 의를 따르지 아니하던 이방인들이 의에 이르렀으니, 곧 믿음에서 난 의라.

31  But¹¹⁶¹ Israel,²⁴⁷⁴ which followed¹³⁷⁷ after the law³⁵⁵¹ of righteousness,¹³⁴³ hath not³⁷⁵⁶ attained⁵³⁴⁸ to¹⁵¹⁹ the law³⁵⁵¹ of righteousness.¹³⁴³

31  의의G1343 법을G3551좇아간 이스라엘은 법에 이르지G5348 못하였으니

31  But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

31  그러나 의의 법을 따르던 이스라엘은 의의 법에 이르지 못하였으니

따르던:  롬_9:30-32, 롬_10:2-4; 갈_3:21

32  Wherefore?¹³⁰² Because³⁷⁵⁴ they sought it not³⁷⁵⁶ by¹⁵³⁷ faith,⁴¹⁰² but²³⁵ as it were⁵⁶¹³ by¹⁵³⁷ the works²⁰⁴¹ of the law.³⁵⁵¹ For¹⁰⁶³ they stumbled⁴³⁵⁰ at that stumblingstone;^{4348, 3037}

32  어찌 그러하뇨 이는 저희가 믿음에 의지하지 않고 행위에 의지함이라 부딪힐 돌에 부딪혔느니라

32  Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

32  어찌하여 그렇게 되었느냐? 이는 그들이 믿음으로 의를 구하지 아니하고 율법의 행위로 구하였기 때문이라. 그들이 그 걸려 넘어지게 하는 돌에 넘어진 것이라.

33  As²⁵³¹ it is written,¹¹²⁵ Behold,²⁴⁰⁰ I lay⁵⁰⁸⁷ in¹⁷²² Zion⁴⁶²² a stumblingstone^{4348, 3037} and²⁵³² rock⁴⁰⁷³ of offense:⁴⁶²⁵ and²⁵³² whosoever³⁹⁵⁶ believeth⁴¹⁰⁰ on¹⁹⁰⁹ him⁸⁴⁶ shall not³⁷⁵⁶ be ashamed.²⁶¹⁷

33  기록된바G1125  보라 내가 부딪히는G4348 돌G3037과 거치는G4625 반석을G4073 시온에 두노니 저를 믿는 자는 부끄러움을 당치 아니하리라 함과 같으니라

33  As it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumblingstone and rock of offense: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

33    기록된 바와 같이 "보라, 내가 시온에 걸려 넘어지게 하는 돌과 거치는 반석을 두노니, 누구든지 그를 믿는 자는 부끄러움을 당하지 아니하리라." 하였느니라.
