1  Furthermore³⁰⁶³ then³⁷⁶⁷ we beseech²⁰⁶⁵ you,⁵²⁰⁹ brethren,⁸⁰ and²⁵³² exhort³⁸⁷⁰ you by¹⁷²² the Lord²⁹⁶² Jesus,²⁴²⁴ that as²⁵³¹ ye have received³⁸⁸⁰ of³⁸⁴⁴ us²²⁵⁷ how⁴⁴⁵⁹ ye⁵²⁰⁹ ought¹¹⁶³ to walk⁴⁰⁴³ and²⁵³² to please⁷⁰⁰ God,²³¹⁶ so ye would⁽²⁴⁴³⁾ abound⁴⁰⁵² more and more.³¹²³

1  종말로 형제들아 우리가 주G2962 예수G2424 안에서 너희에게 구하고 권면하노니 너희가 마땅히 어떻게 행하며 하나님께G2316 기쁘시게 할 것을 우리에게 받았으니 곧 너희 행하는 바라 더욱 많이 힘쓰라

1  For the rest, then, my brothers, we beseech you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as you have received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more.

1   그러므로 형제들아, 끝으로 우리가 주(아도나이H136) 예수(야슈아) 안에서 간구하고 권고하노니 너희가 어떻게 행해야 하고 어떻게 하나님(야훼)을 기쁘시게 해야 하는가를 우리들에게서 받은 바와 같이 더욱더 넘치게 하라.

2  For¹⁰⁶³ ye know¹⁴⁹² what⁵¹⁰¹ commandments³⁸⁵² we gave¹³²⁵ you⁵²¹³ by¹²²³ the³⁵⁸⁸ Lord²⁹⁶² Jesus.²⁴²⁴

2  우리가 주G2962 예수로G2424 말미암아 너희에게 무슨 명령으로 준 것을 너희가 아느니라

2  For we know what commands we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

2   이는 우리가 주(아도나이) 예수(야슈아)를 통하여 너희에게 준 어떤 명령을 너희가 앎이니라.

3  For¹⁰⁶³ this⁵¹²⁴ is²⁰⁷⁶ the will²³⁰⁷ of God,²³¹⁶ even your⁵²¹⁶ sanctification,³⁸ that ye⁵²⁰⁹ should abstain⁵⁶⁷ from⁵⁷⁵ fornication:⁴²⁰²

3  하나님의G2316 뜻은 이것이니 너희의 거룩함이라 곧 음란을 버리고

3  For this is the will of God, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication,

3  하나님(엘로힘)의 뜻은 이것이니, 곧 너희의 거룩함이니라. 너희는 음행을 삼가고

4  That every one¹⁵³⁸ of you⁵²¹⁶ should know¹⁴⁹² how to possess²⁹³² his¹⁴³⁸ vessel⁴⁶³² in¹⁷²² sanctification³⁸ and²⁵³² honor;⁵⁰⁹²

4  각각 거룩함과 존귀함으로 자기의 아내 취할 줄을 알고

4  each one of you to know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor

4   너희 각자가 거룩함과 존귀함으로 어떻게 자기 자신의 그릇을 소유하는가를 알며

5  Not³³⁶¹ in¹⁷²² the lust³⁸⁰⁶ of concupiscence,¹⁹³⁹ even²⁵³² as²⁵⁰⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ Gentiles¹⁴⁸⁴ which know¹⁴⁹² not³³⁶¹ God:²³¹⁶

5  하나님을G2316 모르는 이방인과 같이 색욕을 좇지 말고

5  (not in the passion of lust, even as the nations who do not know God),

5  하나님(엘로힘)을 모르는 이방인들과 같이 색욕에 빠지지 말고

6  That no³³⁶¹ man go beyond⁵²³³ and²⁵³² defraud⁴¹²² his⁸⁴⁸ brother⁸⁰ in¹⁷²² any matter:⁴²²⁹ because that¹³⁶⁰ the³⁵⁸⁸ Lord²⁹⁶² is the avenger¹⁵⁵⁸ of⁴⁰¹² all³⁹⁵⁶ such,⁵¹³⁰ as²⁵³¹ we also²⁵³² have forewarned⁴²⁷⁷ you⁵²¹³ and²⁵³² testified.¹²⁶³

6  이 일에 분수를 넘어서 형제를 해하지 말라 이는 우리가 너희에게 미리 말하고 증거한 것과 같이 이 모든 일에 주께서G2962 신원하여 주심이니라

6  not to go beyond and defraud his brother in this matter (because the Lord is the avenger concerning all these, as we also have forewarned you and testified).

6   어떤 문제에 있어서도 정도를 지나쳐 자기 형제를 속이지 말라. 이는 우리가 미리 경고하였고 증거한 바와 같이 주(야훼)께서는 이러한 사람들에 대하여 벌을 주시는 분이시기 때문이니라.

7  For¹⁰⁶³ God²³¹⁶ hath not³⁷⁵⁶ called²⁵⁶⁴ us²²⁴⁸ unto¹⁹⁰⁹ uncleanness,¹⁶⁷ but²³⁵ unto¹⁷²² holiness.³⁸

7  하나님이G2316 우리를 부르심은 부정케 하심이 아니요 거룩케 하심이니

7  For God has not called us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.

7   하나님(엘로힘)께서 우리를 부르신 것은 부정함에 이르게 하려는 것이 아니라 거룩함에 이르게 하려 하심이니라.

8  He therefore that despiseth,^{114, 5105} despiseth¹¹⁴ not³⁷⁵⁶ man,⁴⁴⁴ but²³⁵ God,²³¹⁶ who hath also given^{1325, 2532} unto¹⁵¹⁹ us²²⁴⁸ his⁸⁴⁸ Holy⁴⁰ Spirit.⁴¹⁵¹

8  그러므로 저버리는 자는 사람을 저버림이 아니요 너희에게 그의 성령을 주신 하나님을G2316 저버림이니라

8  Therefore he who despises does not despise man, but God, who also has given us His Holy Spirit.

8  그러므로 경시하는 자는 사람을 경시하는 것이 아니라 우리에게 그의 거룩한 영을 주신 하나님(엘로힘)을 경시하는 것이니라.

9  But¹¹⁶¹ as touching⁴⁰¹² brotherly love⁵³⁶⁰ ye need^{2192, 5532} not³⁷⁵⁶ that I write¹¹²⁵ unto you:⁵²¹³ for¹⁰⁶³ ye⁵²¹⁰ yourselves⁸⁴⁶ are²⁰⁷⁵ taught of God²³¹² to¹⁵¹⁹ love²⁵ one another.²⁴⁰

9  형제 사랑에 관하여는 너희에게 쓸것이 없음은 너희가 친히 하나님의 가르치심을 받아G2312 서로 사랑함이라

9  But regarding brotherly love, you do not need that I write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

9  형제 사랑에 관해서는 너희에게 쓸 필요가 없으니 이는 너희가 하나님(야훼)께 몸소 배워 서로 사랑하고 있음이라.

10  And¹⁰⁶³ indeed²⁵³² ye do⁴¹⁶⁰ it⁸⁴⁶ toward¹⁵¹⁹ all³⁹⁵⁶ the³⁵⁸⁸ brethren⁸⁰ which³⁵⁸⁸ are in¹⁷²² all³⁶⁵⁰ Macedonia:³¹⁰⁹ but¹¹⁶¹ we beseech³⁸⁷⁰ you,⁵²⁰⁹ brethren,⁸⁰ that ye increase⁴⁰⁵² more and more;³¹²³

10  너희가 온 마게도냐 모든 형제를 대하여 과연 이것을 행하도다 형제들아 권하노니 더 많이하고

10  And indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we beseech you, brothers, that you abound more and more,

10 너희가 온 마케도니아에 있는 모든 형제들에게 실로 이것을 행하는도다. 그러나 형제들아, 우리가 너희에게 권고하노니 너희는 더욱 더 많이 하고

11  And²⁵³² that ye study⁵³⁸⁹ to be quiet,²²⁷⁰ and²⁵³² to do your own business,^{4238, 2398} and²⁵³² to work²⁰³⁸ with your⁵²¹⁶ own²³⁹⁸ hands,⁵⁴⁹⁵ as²⁵³¹ we commanded³⁸⁵³ you;⁵²¹³

11  또 너희에게 명한것 같이 종용하여 자기 일을 하고 너희 손으로 일하기를 힘쓰라

11  and that you try earnestly to be quiet and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you,

11 또 우리가 너희에게 명한 것같이 너희는 조용히 하고 너희 자신의 일을 행하며 너희 손수 일하도록 힘쓰라.

12  That²⁴⁴³ ye may walk⁴⁰⁴³ honestly²¹⁵⁶ toward⁴³¹⁴ them that are without,¹⁸⁵⁴ and²⁵³² that ye may have²¹⁹² lack⁵⁵³² of nothing.³³⁶⁷

12  이는 외인을 대하여 단정히 행하고 또한 아무 궁핍함이 없게 하려 함이라

12  so that you may walk becomingly toward those outside, and that you may lack nothing.

12  이는 외부 사람들에게 단정히 행하고 또한 아무것도 궁핍함이 없게 하려 함이라.

13  But¹¹⁶¹ I would²³⁰⁹ not³⁷⁵⁶ have you⁵²⁰⁹ to be ignorant,⁵⁰ brethren,⁸⁰ concerning⁴⁰¹² them which are asleep,²⁸³⁷ that²⁴⁴³ ye sorrow³⁰⁷⁶ not,³³⁶¹ even²⁵³² as²⁵³¹ others³⁰⁶² which have²¹⁹² no³³⁶¹ hope.¹⁶⁸⁰

13  형제들아 자는 자들에(them which are asleep,G2837) 관하여는 너희가 알지 못함을 우리가 원치 아니하노니 이는 소망 없는 다른 이와 같이 슬퍼하지 않게 하려 함이라

13  But I would not have you ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, that you be not grieved, even as others who have no hope.

13   형제들아, 잠든 자들에 관해서는 너희가 모르게 되는 것을 원치 아니하노니 이는 너희가 소망이 없는 다른 사람들과 같이 슬퍼하지 않게 하려는 것이라.

14  For¹⁰⁶³ if¹⁴⁸⁷ we believe⁴¹⁰⁰ that³⁷⁵⁴ Jesus²⁴²⁴ died⁵⁹⁹ and²⁵³² rose again,⁴⁵⁰ even so³⁷⁷⁹ them also which sleep^{2837, 2532} in¹²²³ Jesus²⁴²⁴ will God²³¹⁶ bring⁷¹ with⁴⁸⁶² him.⁸⁴⁶

14  우리가 예수의G2424 죽었다가G599 다시 사심을G450 믿을진대G4100 이와 같이G3779 예수G2424 안에서(G1223) 자는 자들도(them also which sleepG2837, 2532) 하나님이G2316 저와G846 함께G4862 데리고 오시리라G71

14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.

14   예수(야슈아)께서 죽었다가 다시 살아나신 것을 우리가 믿는다면 그와 같이 하나님(엘로힘)께서는 예수(야슈아) 안에서 잠든 자들도 그와 함께 데리고 오시리라.

15  For¹⁰⁶³ this⁵¹²⁴ we say³⁰⁰⁴ unto you⁵²¹³ by¹⁷²² the word³⁰⁵⁶ of the Lord,²⁹⁶² that³⁷⁵⁴ we²²⁴⁹ which are alive²¹⁹⁸ and remain⁴⁰³⁵ unto¹⁵¹⁹ the³⁵⁸⁸ coming³⁹⁵² of the³⁵⁸⁸ Lord²⁹⁶² shall not³³⁶⁴ prevent⁵³⁴⁸ them which are asleep.²⁸³⁷

15  우리가 주의G2962 말씀G3056으로G1722 너희에게 이것을 말하노니G3004 주G2962 강림하실 때G3952까지G1519 우리 살아G2198 남아 있는G4035 자도 자는 자보다G2837 결단코G3364 앞서지G5348 못하리라G3364

15  For we say this to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not go before those who are asleep.

15  우리가 주(야훼)의 말씀으로 너희에게 이것을 말하노니 주(아도나이)께서 오실 때까지 살아 남아 있는 우리가 잠들어 있는 자들보다 결단코 앞서지 못하리라.

16  For³⁷⁵⁴ the³⁵⁸⁸ Lord²⁹⁶² himself⁸⁴⁶ shall descend²⁵⁹⁷ from⁵⁷⁵ heaven³⁷⁷² with¹⁷²² a shout,²⁷⁵² with¹⁷²² the voice⁵⁴⁵⁶ of the archangel,⁷⁴³ and²⁵³² with¹⁷²² the trump⁴⁵³⁶ of God:²³¹⁶ and²⁵³² the³⁵⁸⁸ dead³⁴⁹⁸ in¹⁷²² Christ⁵⁵⁴⁷ shall rise⁴⁵⁰ first:⁴⁴¹²

16  주께서G2962 호령과G2752 천사장의G743 소리G5456와G2532 하나님의G2316 나팔G4536로G1722 친히G846 하늘로G3772 좇아G575 강림하시리니G2597 그리스도G5547 안에서G1722 죽은 자들이(G3588, G3498) 먼저G4412 일어나고 G450

16  For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first.

16    주(아도나이)께서 호령과 천사장의 음성과 하나님(야훼)의 나팔 소리와 함께 하늘로부터 친히 내려오시리니 그러면 그리스도(마쉬악) 안에서 죽은 자들이 먼저 일어나고

17  Then¹⁸⁹⁹ we²²⁴⁹ which are alive²¹⁹⁸ and remain⁴⁰³⁵ shall be caught up⁷²⁶ together²⁶⁰ with⁴⁸⁶² them⁸⁴⁶ in¹⁷²² the clouds³⁵⁰⁷ to meet^{1519, 529} the³⁵⁸⁸ Lord²⁹⁶² in¹⁵¹⁹ the air:¹⁰⁹ and²⁵³² so³⁷⁷⁹ shall we ever³⁸⁴² be²⁰⁷¹ with⁴⁸⁶² the Lord.²⁹⁶²

17  그 후에 우리 살아 남은 자도 저희와 함께 구름G3507 속으로G1722 끌어 올려G726 공중에서G109 주를G2962 영접( to meetG1519, G529)하게 하시리니 그리하여 우리가 항상 주와G2962 함께G260 있으리라G2071

17  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord.

17  그리고 나서 살아 남아 있는 우리도 공중에서 주(아도나이)와 만나기 위하여 그들과 함께 구름 속으로 끌려올라 가리니 그리하여 우리가 영원히 주(야훼)와 함께 있으리라.

공중은 헬라어로 아엘(스트롱 #G109)이며, 호흡 또는 낮은 대기(大氣)를 둘러싼 공기(the air of the lower atmosphere)를 의미합니다. 이것은 사람이 사는 대기권을 의미하며, 멀리 떨어진 하늘을 언급하지 않습니다.

“끌어올려”는 헬라어로 할파조 (스트롱 #G726)이며, 붙잡다, 끌고 가다, 잡아 뽑다, 빼앗다 등을 의미합니다.

18  Wherefore⁵⁶²⁰ comfort³⁸⁷⁰ one another²⁴⁰ with¹⁷²² these⁵¹²⁵ words.³⁰⁵⁶
